Chapter 8

N/H's POV
As Lou and I drink our tea together, he suddenly asks, "Hey, were you okay with Caden yesterday?"
"Wha...yeah, I was okay. Everything is alright, see?", I smile at him.
"Okay. I thought that maybe he would yell at you or something?", he admits.
"No, no, he did what he said. He just walked me home. That's it.", I say. I won't mention at all about the kiss that Caden gave me and I ran away, afterwards. So technically, he didn't walk me home. Hehe.
"Okay, at least you didn't walk home alone. Although, I'm still disappointed that it was Caden instead of me. I think Caden is too aggressive for him to be a gentleman, like me you know", Lou smiles and shows the whiteness of his teeth.
"Agh!", I cover my eyes immediately after his purely white teeth reflects towards my eyes.
"Ah! Sorry, that happens quite a lot when I show off my smile. It's an ability that we prototypes have.", Lou says.
Lou looks shock for a moment and then smiles innocently.
"Oh yeah, by the way, what exactly is a prototype because that's what the camera speaker said to me when I first came to town.", I ask Lou.
"Um...well, prototypes are the dolls who basically are supposed to help other dolls to get prepare to go the the 'Big World'. Haha.", Lou says.
"Oh really? That's sounds quite fun.", I say excitedly. I actually would like to help dolls to be ready for the 'Big World'. It seems quite interesting.
"Yeah! It is! That's all to it! Hehe."
"Are you okay, Lou? You seem a bit nervous."
"Me? Nervous? Nope, not nervous at all. It's super great being a prototype. As you know, I'm just like you. Hehe."
"Oh okay. Hey, maybe we could work together at this prototype thing", I suggests to Lou.
"Together?"
"Yeah, maybe we both could help dolls prepare for the 'Big World'. Prepare to be with their child."
"I would like for us to work together, but I don't think most of the dolls would like that. I mean, I used to be their mayor and leader, and then I got overthrown by my fellos dolls. I'm pretty sure they don't want me to lead them again.", Lou admits to me.
"Well, maybe if you're working with me, little by little, the other dolls will start to accept you again.", I tell him.
"You think?", Lou asks, but doesn't sound like he's convinced.
"Yeah, I mean it may take some time and you have to be a little nicer this time. Especially to the 'non-perfect'" dolls.", I'd tell him.
"Oh right. I forgot I can't do it my way now", he says.
"Yeah, you have to be a bit nicer this time. If you want the dolls to accept you again, then you have to change your attitude towards them. Who knows, maybe you can be mayor again.", I tell him.
"Hmm...yeah that would be nice. To be the mayor again, but I don't think it will happen.", Lou says unconvincingly.
"Come on, it should be fun. Don't you want the other dolls to stop hating you and start accepting you again.", I say to Lou.
"I don't know."
"Please..."
I give Lou puppy dog eyes, hoping to convince him. Lou starts looking at me hesitantly and I think he's even blushing. Wonder why. Oh please say yes, please try, at least.
"Please Lou. Come on, at least you should gave it a try. Pllleeeaaassseee...", I beg him.
"Hmmm...okay, okay. I will try for your sake to stop giving me those cute eyes of yours" Lou finally agrees.
"Yay!"
Hmm, where do we start? How should we even start training dolls for the 'Big World'? I would ask Lou, but his techniques were probably awful since the dolls hate him so much. I could probably ask Caden, but I don't know. After that little fight and that kiss...I don't know if I have the will to ask him for help. Especially since he hates Lou and he might also ask about the kiss. Might as well try, at least.
"Well, I've got an idea where to start.", I start.
"But, you won't like it, Lou.", I say honestly.
"Why?", Lou asks.
"Well.......you see, I think in order for dolls to trust you again is to have someone else to help us, not just the two of us since you used to be the mayor and I'm not used to talking to a crowd, yet.", I tell him honestly.
"Okay, I agreed that I do need the help of someone else because no dolls would trust me if I try help them on my own, but why can't it just be you. You shouldn't be afraid of talking to your fellow dolls. Plus, like I said we prototypes are supposed to help our fellow dolls to go to the 'Big World'. There's nothing you should be afraid of since dolls are just going to listen to what you have to say", Lou says.
"Umm...I'm not sure if I can. I have never talk to a big crowd of dolls since I'm only like a week old and what if I mess up? I just feel like I would be a bit more confident if someone else besides the two of us would help us.", I tell him.
"Yeah, okay. Well, who do you have in mind?", Lou asks.
"Well, this is the part you won't probably like. I was thinking that maybe it should be Caden."
Lou is quiet for a moment. Then he drinks a sip of his tea and puts it down gently. He takes a deep breath and then "What?! Are you kidding me?! Caden?! Really, (N/H)?! Why?! Why him?! Why him?! Why not someone else?! ", Lou yells.
"Okay. I know your upset, Lou but-"
"Upset?! No, I'm not! I am absolutely angry!"
Lou keeps yelling until I finally get him to calm down with a pot full of tea.
