Third p.o.v
Luna had finished her new necklace. It had dried corn and beans dangling around on the piece of yarn she had found. It was a perfect accessory to attract sleepy wisps.
Most people thought her crazy when she told them of the creatures but she didn't mind. After all, people should be allowed to have opinions. Who was she to tell them not to?
"Luna, time for bed." Her dad told her. He was tired from writing articles and pieces for the Quibbler but that would be fixed with a small nap.
"Good night dad and watch for the Nargles will you? I think they're building a nest in the basement." She told him.
Her dad gave a sad nod and smile before returning to his chair to look over a few documents.
Luna shuffled under her blankets and rested her wand under her pillow. Her handmade necklace must have worked because not long after closing her eyes, she fell asleep.
When she woke up the feeling of grass tickled the back of her legs and arms. Her eyes opened slowly and with nothing but sheer curiosity, her eyes wondered over the the green foliage.
Everything seemed...brighter somehow. More defined. She was still wearing her night clothes, a simple pair of striped pants with a blue and sliver shirt. On each foot she wore a pair of bunny slippers, the left slipper missing one ear and the right's missing an eye.
Her hair was in a ponytail and messy strands framed her face. She felt around her clothes and searched for her wand but stopped when she found it a few feet away.
"Hello?" A little boy no older than five asked from behind a tree. He wore a grey shirt and grey/blue slacks. A strange pair of sandles Luna had never seen before adored his feet.
"Hello, have you seen a Dream Wobbler around here?" Luna responded. She walked towards the boy but paused when he retreated back behind his tree. "Are you frightened? Theres no need to be scared."
The boy poked his head back out. "Why are you still wearing your pajamas?"
Luna, without any hesitation, said, "I woke up in them. They are rather comfortable. I like wearing them. Sometimes I wear them as day clothes when I don't have to go anywhere. Don't you?"
He nodded and it was all the information he seemed to need to overcome his shyness of Luna. "My names Ichiya Nara. What's yours?"
"Luna Lovegood."
"That's a strange name." He repeated her name and laughed at the way it rolled off his tongue. Luna supposed she was in a village far from hogsmeade. Maybe even a different country.
Her name wasn't exactly common but it wasn't considered strange. She had heard more unique names and Ichiya's wasn't all that familiar to her either.
"Where are we?" She asked.
"The training grounds behind the academy. Are you lost?" He asked. He had long since walked away from his hiding spot behind the tree and settled for standing in front of her.
He thought she was really pretty. She had long light colored hair and pretty eyes. She was tall too but he found it weird how she clung onto the stick she picked up from the ground. Was it special or something? Either way she was nice and if she needed his help, he would do his best.
"I suppose I am. I've never heard of an academy near Hogwarts or Hogsmeade. What country is this?"
Ichiya's eyes widened. He knew the girl was lost but he had thought maybe she had forgotten the way from her house. Another country? The thought never even crossed his mind.
