The dragon and the knight (bad ending)

  Alexander for the past month had been living in absolute bliss. He was spoiled to no end by his dragon mate and he was having no problem with it. Now looking back to the first day they met Alexander felt awful for how he treated the dragon. After the shock had hit him and he realized what had happened Alexander ended up Screaming up a storm and put the dragon in a choke hold, sword drawn close to his neck. The dragon didn't react though. Just looked amused like he knew Alexander wasn't going to do shit. He knew the human felt their bond. He had to. Maybe not strongly but there just had to be a feeling inside of him. Which was right. Alexander for some reason felt drawn to the handsome shifter. He was confused and scared about it but throughout the month they've been together he's gotten used to it. Adonis taught him about mates and dragons and shifters as well. Why he's been up alone near the town and explained how he never hurt anyone unless he had to in order to protect himself. Alexander didn't blame his mate. Everyone was after his blood, and even before Alexander was as well. Now he had no desire to kill him or get the award from the king. It was useless now that he had Adonis to love. He wasn't lonely anymore and was very content with staying up in the cave, he'd protect this dragon with everything he had in himself. What Alex didn't know was that the town had a plan. Something down there was stirring and at the end of the week. Either there will be a happy ending or a devastating heartbreak. Adonis has feelings about it, but not wanting to worry his mate he kept his mouth shut and continued to pamper and love his human. If anything bad were to happen he'd want to spend these last days living happily, seeing his mates smile and hear him laugh, Cuddle him and just keep him close.

The week had gone by quite quickly. Alexander noticed how Adonis was on edge. Often times the dragon was shift and have a small fly around their cave soon coming back. Alexander has tried asking him why he was so anxious but all Adonis said was he was expecting visitors. Alexander frowned at that. What visitors would his dragon have? Maybe relatives? He didn't think there were other dragons alive. Maybe that was stupid to think though. The rest of the week went by and by Thursday, Alexander seemed a lot less anxious. He was positive nothing was going to happen unless he was wrong that is. But he wasn't sure that was until the next morning. Adonis sent Alexander over to the next town to get a few supplies, more fruits and leathers and all of that. Alexander agreed saying he'd be back by tomorrow morning and left with a kiss to Adonis's lips saying a soft "I love you" Adonis smiled and moved pulling his mate into a slightly long one "and I love you too my little mate" he purred once he pulled away again. Alexander blushed and moved on saddling up his horse to take on the journey.

The two days had past and Alexander was missing his dragon quite a bit. He had gotten a gift for the male as well. A small chained necklace made with silver. It was awfully expensive but he thought maybe Adonis would like it. As he rode back to town Alexander started to her a bad feeling. Their was smoke covering the path up to their cave. "Come in boy go faster" he commanded his horse his heel lightly kicking into his horses side. He raced up the path moving to drawl out his sword. Alexander once they got up there began to shout his mates name not hearing anything back. That only made his worries grow. He hopped off the horses back once they were up to the cave and began searching around. Dead bodies littered the place, the smell of blood and burnt skin and smoke filtered the air. Tears welled up in Alexander's eyes. What had happened? Did Adonis do this on purpose. His thoughts continued until he heard a soft Whine of pain coming from the cave before a deep huff. Alexander immediately made his way over there rushing to find his dragon. But the sight before him left him falling to his knees tears running down his face. "Adonis?" He whispered looking at the blood coated dragon. The golden eyes were half shut pain shining through them. He let out another whine seeing Alex and moved nuzzling his large face into the males stomach weakly. "Adonis what happened" he asked desperately hands shaking tears only continuing to freely fall down his face. The dragon didn't say anything, with one last nuzzle his eyes closed and that was the end of Adonis. Alexander was heartbroken. He felt like his heart was ripping Itself apart. He moved stumbling up. He couldn't take this anymore. He moved quickly. His mate was dead. His Adonis was gone forever. He couldn't handle it. He raced to the top of their cave, Hands and feet desperately climbing. Once he got to the top he raced to the edge, a sob leaving his lips as he looked down at the town below him. It was ruined as well. It seemed like no one was alive besides him. Alexander closed his eyes and with one step off the cliff was the end of the dragon and the knight.

|||||So, this is supposed to be part 2 bad ending of the dragon and the knight. But if it gets enough attention and comments then I'll make the part 2 good ending. I hope you enjoyed this.
