Expecting

Elizabeth's P.O.V.

The next morning I woke up to Meliodas next to me. I then remembered what happened last night and my face instantly went red.

I quietly got up and got ready for the day. My legs were sore but I didnt mind at all. I went to the kitchen and made breakfast.

While cooking Meliodas came into the kitchen, kissed my cheek and said good morning. I told him that breakfast was almost ready and if he could set up the table. He simply nodded.

Once I was done, I served our breakfast and we ate. I picked up the dirty dishes in the sink and would wash them later.

I went to my job which was at my sister's bakery. I was wondering what Meliodas was doing right now.

(Time skip)

It was now night time and I was heading back home. When I got home I saw that Meliodas was asleep on the couch with a book on his lap.

At least I didn't I have to worry about him falling asleep with the TV on. I decided to let him sleep and make dinner.

When I went to the kitchen everything was clean. My guess was that Meliodas cleaned the apartment while I was working.

When I was done making dinner and setting up the table, I went to wake up Meliodas. I nugged his shoulder for a bit until he started waking up. I told him that dinner was ready and to come eat.

After dinner we both were in the livingroom reading a book until we decided it was late and should head to bed.

This was pretty much our daily routine. Every now and then Zeldris and Gelda would come to vist us. We really enjoy their company.

But one day when they came they had some news to tell us. They told the both of us to breathe and relax. They then told us that they got married and are expecting soon. I congratulated the pair but was kinda sad they didn't have a ceremony.

"Hey Gelda if you need anything you are always welcome here." I told her with a gentle smile.

When I looked over at Meliodas and Zeldris, Meliodas was laughing like crazy while Zeldris looked like he was ready to punch him.

That's when Gelda asked me if Meliodas and I were planning on having kids ourselves.

This got the attention of Meliodas and Zeldris. To be honest I didn't know what to say. Part of me wanted to but the other part of me wasn't ready.

I told Gelda that we were still deciding. She simply smiled and told us to not hold out to long, that she wanted at least a niece or nephew. When she said that I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks.

After their vist we got ready for bed. I couldn't sleep after what Gelda asked. I mean none of the sins have kids.

I know that Elaine and Diane wanted kids but weren't ready yet. I found it so frustrating to think of an answer. I mean it has only been 3 weeks since we were married. I decided to try and get some sleep that night but I was still thinking.

The next morning was my day off, so I made breakfast like usual and helped Meliodas clean the apartment.

We both eventually fell asleep together on the couch. When I woke up I had an urge to throw up. I carefully got up and ran to the bathroom, I instantly threw up.

I stopped for a bit and watched my breathing. That's when I felt a hand on my back. Meliodas was behind me grabbing my hair back and rubbing my back.

I kept throwing up for what seemed to be hours but in reality it was only a few minutes. Once I was done I asked Meliodas to grab me a glass of water, He came back in a minute flat. He asked me if I was alright and if I could stand.

I told him I was alright and only needed rest. I went to our room and layed down. For some reason I was extremely tired today. I didn't question it any further and just fell asleep.

Meliodas P.O.V.

After Elizabeth threw up, I told her to get some rest. She did what I asked her and went to our room.

It's been a few days now and she still wouldn't wake up. When Zeldris and Gelda came by again I explained what happened and we tried to find a solution.

That's when Gelda said that she might be expecting. I didn't know what to say, I felt excited and happy. The room stayed in silence until we heard a gasp from behind us.

It was Elizabeth, she had a hand over her mouth and her other hand was over her stomach. I saw that tears were running down her cheeks. She immediately tackled me while laughing.

I haven't seen her so excited since our wedding,I loved to see her smile more than anything. I kissed her passionately and she kissed back, we then stopped because we need air.

We got off the floor and Gelda gave her a hug as Zeldris was congratulated us. Gelda also said to Elizabeth to take a pregnancy test just in case. She simply nodded her head with a bright smile.

Of course neko pregnancies are different from normal human ones, we all knew this and would have to be more careful.

After talking and having fun, Gelda and Zeldris left, while I was washing the dishes. I made sure that Elizabeth was alright and comfortable, making sure she didn't do anything crazy.

Elizabeth's P.O.V

I've been pregnant for about a month now, and I was showing. During the days Meliodas and I were discussing on buying a house but also starting a business together as a family. We decided to open a cafe during the day and a bar during the night.

We eventually found a place that we were both happy with. It was located close to were we lived, still being in the country side. The second floor was to be our living space while the first floor was for our business.

We finish buying the house and then moving, which only took a few days. One day once we were done for the night, we decided to come up with baby names. I told Meliodas that I would come up with boy names and he would come up with girl names.

"Did you think of any names yet?" I asked Meliodas.

"Out of all the ones I came up with, I like the names Luna which means moon and Liane which means Daughter of the sun." He explained.

"What about you?" He asked.

"I was thinking of the names Elios which means brave worrier and darrin which mean unique." I explained to him.

The next few days were calm and peaceful. I was now looking like a bolt but I was still able to do things. Meliodas didn't like me doing anything that could harm the baby and would usually tell me to take it easy.

Like any pregnancy, women have cravings. The good thing was that I had cravings for fruit, mostly strawberries, and of course, morning sickness which I hated. Other than that we still are able to continue with our daily routines like before.

Sorry for the long wait. I was just busy starting my two new books. Of course I remembered this one and tried to update it but I had writers block for this story and my other story 'Our Lights.' Anyway I will be updating the next chapter soon. Hopefully.
