Joel frantically looked for his phone which he had thrown to the side once he saw a letter from Rhea. It was her last letter to him and he was anxious to know where she was heading to. He never expected any of it, they were doing so good - at least he thought they were.He called her numerous times but it only went straight to her voicemail, her soft voice pronouncing her name pinching his heart. Every text he sent was not delivered and by this time he was on the verge of tears. He didn't know what to do, his movements were blocked, he couldn't move.
He didn't want to lose her, he loved her. He didn't care about all those things she said, he loved her no matter what. He wasn't forcing anything and it was never his intention to hurt her. Rhea was the only girl for him and nothing was going to change that.
He had to find her, he had to tell her that she was totally wrong. He couldn't let her go on thinking that she was a waste of his time or that she wasn't his missing piece. But how was he going to even get a clue?
Ilsadora; her best friend.
Joel didn't think twice before dialing her number. His small chants for her to pick up were soon cut off by a bubbly voice.
"Hellooo," the high pitched voice said with a giggle.
"Ilsa? It's Joel. Do you have a minute?"
"Joel!" Ilsadora exclaimed. "How are you?! Man, I haven't heard from you in the longest."
"I'm great - I need your help, please. Ilsa, this is so important." Joel urgently spoke as he rubbed his forehead in frustration.
"Anything for you Joelito! You want ice cream?"
It took Joel until that point to realize that the girl was pretty drunk. He almost wanted to pull all his hair out until it hit him. Ilsa couldn't hold her tongue when she was tipsy, she simply just spilled. Rhea told him this the first time they went out to a club together and boy was she right.
"Actually, I need Rhea."
"Rhea! I miss my chica already." She hummed, her tone already transitioning to a rather gloomy one.
"Ilsa please," he croaked. "I need to find her. I can't let her go, I can't lose her. She's the best thing that has ever happened to him, please help me. I know you know where she is."
"Of course! She's going to - wait! I can't tell you, Rhea made me promise."
Practically flinging his arms up in desperation, Joel groaned. "Ilsa, please. You know how much I love that girl."
"Sorry Joelo, no can do."
"What the hell, Ilsa? Why is it that now you choose to shut your mouth? This is why I like Ziomara better."
"Ziomara. You mean the bitch who tried to take my spot? How is she better than me?"
Joel knew what he was doing and it was the only way to trick Ilsadora into telling him where Rhea was. "For one, she knew when her friend was doing something illogical. She didn't stay quiet."
"I don't stay quiet!" Ilsadora screeched in an offended tone. "I always tell her when something is stupid."
"Clearly you don't since she did all of this. Do you even care?"
