11:00 p.m. The clock reads.

Julia could not sleep. Her mind is filled with thoughts of that beautiful pair of eyes. Beautiful silver eyes. She has never seen a pair of silver eyes before. Julia is certain the creature she saw was a wolf, after all, it is in pack territory but never has she heard of a pack member with silver eyes. She was not able to smell the scent of that wolf too— no, she couldn't smell it.

She slowly shifts in her soft chair, laid her head on her hand and looked at the moon in trance. Yes. The same color and as bright as the moon, the wolf's eyes. Silver . . silver — SILVER! Julia snaps out of her dazed state and something inside her head clicks.

No wolf has a pair of silver eyes! It was not a wolf!

"Then what is it . . " Julia whispers to herself. She wishes she listened more in her wolf history classes back in high school. She's pretty sure a pair of silver eyes was mentioned during one of her boring classes.

"Do you know what it could have been, Raven?" Julia asks her wolf.

"I . . do. But you'll know soon. Just rest your mind. Stop thinking. You're giving me headaches." Raven replies. Julia rolls her eyes at her wolf. Raven was a bit, how do you say, a bitch? She acts as if Julia and she are not one with each other, it's crazy. But nonetheless, they both love each other in a really weird way.

Julia glances at the clock and decided that it was time for her to get some sleep. After all, it was a crazy night. Julia's mom had already reported tonight's incident to Alpha Leblanc and Stacey was ordered to return home as soon as possible. Stacey begrudgingly followed her father's orders, shifted to her wolf and ran as fast as she could back to the pack house. It wasn't so far from Julia's house. Probably if you were to use a car, it would take you 20 minutes to get there.

Julia tucked herself in her soft and comfortable sheets. Not long after, the silence drifted her to sleep.

As the breeze starts to pick up, the trees started swaying and an unknown someone is watching.

"Mate."

Byron

Byron continues to comfortably walk in silence. Savouring the cold breeze that seemed to somehow rejoice his awakening as it starts to get colder and eventually enveloping his whole body. Dead leaves, crunching below his feet as he takes big, long strides to . . . somewhere.

"Where in the heavens am I going?" Byron silently asks himself. He had this gnawing feeling in his body that he can't seem to ignore since he woke up from his death. With his superior senses, even though he didn't memorize this set of woods, he would still somehow find his way around it. It has always been that way. Byron was a man of precision. Anything he does, he does with a concrete reason but now, Byron seems to be lost in the woods. His feet are taking him to something.

".... Or someone." His wolf chimes in.

"Is there something you're not telling me, wolf?" Byron replies, confused. His wolf has always been quite distant. Calm and collected. Only talks when needed. Both don't really talk much because they find it useless. They are one with each other. They understand each other like no other so why talk? But in this situation, Byron wishes his wolf would provide him answers. He was as confused as a lost sheep.

"You'll know." With this, his wolf disappears back into his subconscious leaving him alone yet again.

He's crazy. Probably from the nap. Byron thinks and shrugs as he continues to walk along the trails quietly.

His ears start to perk up when he heard a shuffling noise and murmurs from more than a mile away. His head snaps to the direction of the sound and started to be wary. Something's wrong. Byron starts to walk quietly. His footsteps are almost not audible to even an animal's ears. Oh the glory of the King's senses.

After a few seconds of walking, he stops behind a tree and listened. Carefully.

"King of Lycans? Bullshit." What a beautiful sound. Byron thinks. His wolf humming in agreement.

"You don't believe me, do you Julia? I tell you it's true! He is real! My grandmother who is three fucking hundred years old told me so!" Byron's ears started to hurt as this crazy woman starts shouting out of nowhere.

"Oh god, what a horrible sound." He winces and massages his ears. As you can tell, they're a little bit sensitive from the long nap. Byron's wolf snickers in reply.

"Stace, it's not that I don't believe you. It's just that we wouldn't know if he's real or not until we see him with our own eyes. Plus, why the hell is he sleeping? He should've sought his mate instead of lying on a bed."

Mate? Byron feels something inside him shift.

"Mate. . . Byron. . get. . . . mate." Byron's wolf starts to aggressively pace around begging to be let out.

Upon hearing his wolf and hearing that beautiful voice, Byron stands still, wide-eyed. His heart that he thought froze a long time ago started to frantically beat as if leaping out of his chest. He starts to breathe heavily. His body contorts into gruesome angles, bones cracking, skin morphing. Engulfed by this new sensation, he lets his wolf out. A cold, chilling howl resounds throughout the night as his wolf cries out in happiness and satisfaction after hundreds of agonizing years, alone and waiting.

His wolf starts to run. Breezing past the trees, the majestic creature continues towards the direction of his mate. Our mate. She's here. Byron sighs and urges his wolf to go faster or they won't catch a glimpse of her.

After a few seconds of running, he shifts back to his human form. Whilst breathing heavily, he comes to a stop and crouches behind the bushes. His eyes, a pair of glowing silver, a trait only pureblood lycans possess. He watches in awe as beautiful raven locks sway against the cold breeze. His heart starts to thump loudly against his chest, his wolf still howling.

His eyes trail upward from his mate's feet until it reaches her enchanting green orbs. Directly staring at him. His world seems to stop. Oh how he wants the world to stop at this very moment. Please don't let this be a dream. Her eyes shine with a glint of fear and curiosity. All sounds seem to drown out in the background as he focuses on his mate's heart, frantically beating like his. He wanted to hold her. Tell her everything is okay and that he won't ever try to hurt her.

"Julia! Earth to Julia! Snap out of it!"

Insolent woman! Trying to take my mate from me! His wolf starts growling at the back of his head.

Soon after, she blinks and faces her friend, cutting off their staring contest.

"Damn! I'm going to kill that woman!" His wolf is starting to crave blood and Byron knows better than to let his wolf be.

"It's mate's friend, wolf. If we do something to her, mate will hate us." Byron replies. As much as he agrees to his wolf, he can't let that happen. Not when he just met his mate.

His mate's friend starts to drag her inside the house and Byron's heart starts to ache. Don't be such a wuss. He whispers to himself.

As much as Byron and his wolf would like to barge inside, it was not the time yet. But it will be soon. Soon, he will be able to hold his dear mate close to him and Goddess forbid he lets go of such an angel. His wolf lowly growls at the thought.

"No! Mate will stay with us!"

"She will, wolf." Byron reassures his wolf for no one, not anyone would dare take the king's mate. Not if they would like to keep their heads on top of their necks.

"Found you."

And with that, Bryon stays and watches over his dear mate.
