Leo spent the week doing his usual thing. Band practice with his best friends Piper, Jason and Annabeth (who was more of a manager). Building and tinkering and pushing off home work.
"Leo!" Piper jogged into the room where Leo was laying, "we're gonna go to an actual party! It's gonna be at that girl Reyna's house! Drinks provided by Dakota!" She jumped up and down. "Hell yeah!" He high fived her, "how'd we get invited?"
"She is on student council with Jason and he said he had to bring the band! So here we are!" Piper was still squealing with joy.
Leo looked at the time, "I need to get to work" he groaned. Piper tossed him the keys and he ran out so he wouldn't be late. Again.

"Valdez! If you ever get out of line again you're fired! Now get working!" Leo's boss yelled at him. Man, he was annoying. Leo kept dozing off thinking of the party and the cute boy he met last week.
The boy didn't call him, which was what he expected. He should've asked for his number instead.
Suddenly Leo's head snapped up from what he was doing and he froze in the middle of folding someone's clothes.
The boy was outside the door texting someone. He wore the same aviator jacket and black outfit with a skull ring.
He was so easily recognisable.
"Hey!" Angry customers yelled out at Leo. He was running out of the store and sat next to the boy.
He did a great job at ignoring him.
"Did you read your receipt from last time?" He looked up. "Yes," he said blandly and went back to his phone.
"Oh." Leo looked down and picked at his pants.
His phone buzzed and he read a text from an unrecognised number.
Anon: do you really want me to text you that badly?
Leo smiled down at his phone and smirked at the boy.
Leo: I knew you couldn't resist me ;)
Boy: you're the one who wanted me to text you
Leo: whatever.
Leo: you never gave me your name
Boy: you expect me to give my name to a stranger
Leo looked up at the boy next to him who was texting. "Nico." He mumbled. Leo grinned. "Hey nico" he smiled at the boy.
"Valdez! You are fired!" Leo's boss ran out with his face as red as a tomato.
Leo unpinned his tag and tossed it at his ex boss. He walked off still very upset. Leo turned to the boy who had mysteriously vanished.
Leo got up and looked for him but there was no trace of him. He sighed and decided to text him.
Leo: you disappeared into the shadows. Where'd you go?
After ten minutes nico responded.
Nico: I thought it was a personal thing and I had to leave
Leo sighed and slipped the phone into his pocket. It was obvious nico didn't like him but Leo Valdez doesn't give up. Now, Leo needed a new job. Luckily, there was a Starbucks in the same mall with a 'help wanted' sign so Leo went in to take a shot.
His classmate, Dakota, was the manager so he easily landed the job. The only problem was he had to go at 8 in the morning for work. But he had to do it.
"Thanks, man. Looking forward to see you at the party," Leo fist bumped Dakota. He smiled and took a sip of red kool aid from a water bottle.
Dakota tossed him an apron and pen and told him to come the next day.
I'm going to try and update more often! I also hope you guys like my fics ;)
