It was quiet in the coffee shop which wasn't surprising for this time of the morning. The employees had used up their morning time and rushed off to catch the buses and trains taking them to their destination, only a few early birds were sat inside casually reading newspapers or reading their books while sipping a drink. Namjoon led you over into the back corner of the shop with his head down and hat low in an effort to hide his face. He let go of your hand and pulled a chair out for you, as you sat he pushed the chair under you tucking you in before taking a seat opposite. You still couldn't believe that this was happening. Kim Namjoon was really there. It seemed too good to be real.
"Do you know what you want?" He asked as his eyes scanned the small brown menu placed on the table.
" I think I might just have an orange juice, I don't want to drink too much caffeine otherwise I won't sleep for a week" He smiled at your reply, his dimples were adorable when he smiled.
An elderly waitress came over with her pad and paper.
"Do you both know what you want or would you like some more time?"
" We will both have a large orange juice please. " He beamed at the waitress before turning his attention back to you.
You tried to start a topic for conversation.

"Forgive me if this sounds a little rude but are you meant to be doing this right now? Being in public I mean." He nodded in response , it was a fair question.
"We travel all around the world but all we see are stadiums and not the landmarks. So in an agreement with our staff we have certain rules in place and get allowed a slot to explore between shows while travelling. But we have to go in certain groups and different times to avoid being recognised, of course I don't mind being recognised I love meeting the fans we all do but it can sometimes get a little crazy so we stick to times when it's safer to go out. Luckily I still have a little while before I have to head back so we can enjoy ourselves."
His response was pretty good and made sense to you, at least it made sense why they were out so early. As you both eased into conversation the waitress returned with the drinks placing them gently on the table, as she was about to walk away she gently smiled at the both of you.
"May I just say you two make a lovely couple, it's so nice to know young people still go on dates without staring at those darn mobiles all the time." We both ducked our heads out of embarrassment as she waddled away back behind the counter.

"So Y/n are you a local?"
" I live about 15 minutes walk from here, I've lived here for about 2 years now. "
He sipped his juice as he watched you speak. You began to blush, having his eyes on your face felt exciting. Did you look okay? Was your hair neat? Were you presentable? All these thoughts rushed through your head and you began to sneakily try patting down your hair and sorting yourself out. You thought you were getting away with it until his hand gently wrapped around your wrist stopping you. As you met his eyes you noticed his expression, his head was ducked and he was looking up at you.
"Please, don't feel like you have to improve yourself to impress me. You look lovely"
A warm sensation rushed over you. His eyes glinted.
A few minutes passed and you both made light conversation with each other, he was so easy to talk to and you began to realise how similar your interests were. Your hand lightly rested on the middle of the table subconsciously playing with the menu, when suddenly his hand scooped up yours so that you were holding hands on the table with his thumb gently stroking the top of your hand. Did he do that on purpose? Is this his way of flirting? Oh my God is this real? You try to act normal so you don't over react but the warmth of his hand excited you.
"You know what y/n I haven't asked what you do for a job, if you have a job. I know it's hard for our generation to find jobs...erm...I mean you know it's okay if you don't have a job but...if you..erm..have a job...what is it or ...if you don't I'm sorry I won't ask..erm.." He began to stutter on his words not meaning to offended you in case you were unemployed. You laughed at him realising how clumsy he truly was in real life.
You open your mouth to reply but as you did his phone began to ring. He looked at you almost as if asking permission to answer his phone, you gestured to him to answer he answered it and began to talk in Korean to the person on the other end of the phone for a few seconds before hanging up. His face dropped as he sighed.
"That was the company, we have to leave now. I'm sorry that I couldn't stay with you longer." You both rose from the table.
" Hey it's not problem really, I mean at least I got to meet you and have a drink with you right? That's more than I could ever ask for. " Your heart hurt. Bad. Namjoon went up to the counter and handed over some money to pay for the drinks. You tried to offer to pay too but he refused.
"Well y/n thanking you for joining me I hope we meet again really soon. Oh you never said where you work.."
" Oh I'm a... "
'Hey! Let's go! " Jin was leaning in the entrance calling to Namjoon. Jimin rushed in and grabbed Namjoons arm pulling him away. Quickly he was led away by the other two away from the shop, he glanced once more while smiling at you before they turned a corner and disappeared from view.
You stood alone. Confused. Upset. Heartbroken. Namjoon was gone. You never had the chance to tell him where you work. It took everything not to chase him down but you didn't want to ruin the experience by acting like a crazy fangirl so you swallowed hard and left the shop. The regular sounds of the town began to surround you but the sound of Namjoon was nowhere to be heard. He was gone. You knew you would never see him again.

That is what you thought but that was wrong because not only were you going to run into him again but it was going to start something bigger than just a simple friendship. This was just the beginning of the rest of your life.

This was the memory your mind thought back to on that day, god how shy and silly you were back then. You got flustered over just sitting opposite him. If only you could go back in time to that day to tell yourself what was to come for you and Namjoon, it would seem almost impossible that it would end in marriage. But here you were standing in your white dress in front of the mirror just staring preparing yourself to become Mrs y/n Kim. What a life...
