Chapter Seven:

"Stark left these for you."

Peter turned looking at Fury who sat on a bench of their boat, it floating through the canal. That was the first thing any of them said in awhile, not even Hazel wanted to ask where they were going. They were both in their suits, as requested, and she wondered if he was leading them somewhere in need of help. But the night was quiet, and nothing seemed amiss. Peter took the small box from Fury's hand, looking from the box to the man. Hazel peered over his standing figure, eyes landing on a pair of glasses.

Fury mumbled something else, but Hazel couldn't stop looking at those glasses. Tony wore them all the time, and she remembered how upset he had gotten when Morgan got ahold of them. They weren't normal glasses, she knew that, but she had no idea what made them different.

The boat fell into another silent spell until the boat docked and they all got out. Fury led them down an alley way and stopped, placing his thumb on a scanner. The door swung open and they stepped through, entering a dark room.

"You can take your mask off. Everyone down here already knows who you are." Fury grumbled, then turning his attention to Hazel who hadn't bothering putting her own on. "How come he wears that mask whenever he can but you just don't bother?"

She shrugged, "It's dark."

"Well, he doesn't need to be breathing through spandex for no good reason."

They walked down a long corridor, leading out to another poorly lit area. Peter's eyes widened, rushing after Fury.

"That is Maria Hill. Demetri." Fury began speaking again, pointing at each person. They came to a stop, "And this is Mr Beck."

Hazel ran into Peter, she took a step back and then around him. A man turned just ahead of them, his suit very familiar.

"Mysterio." Peter mumbled.

"What?"

"Doesn't matter, it's just what my friends are calling you."

Mr Beck gave him a smile, walking towards them. "Well, you can call me Quintin."

He stuck his hand out, which Peter took. "You handled yourself well out there, today. I saw what you did with the tower."

Quintin then focused his attention on Hazel, flashing a smile.

"Woah— I mean, hello." Hazel blinked, "I'm Hazel."

Peter flicked her side, huffing quietly.

"I'm aware." He chuckled, "But I didn't know you could do what you did. You were amazing out there, Hazel. Quick thinking was what helped me defeat the Elemental. And with Peter keeping people safe... we could really use people like you on my world."

"Thanks." Peter had a small smile on his face, which disappeared as his brain started clicking things together. He stepped forward, "Wait, what do you mean 'your world?'"

"Mr Beck is from earth. Just not ours." Fury walked from behind them, joining Quintin in front of them.

"There are multiple universes, not just this one. This one is 616 and I'm from Earth 833."

Peter's eyes lit up and he took another step forward, "I'm sorry, so your saying there's a multiverse? Cause I thought that was just theoretical. I mean, that completely changes the way we understand the initial similarity. We are talking about an internal inflation system— and how does that even work with all the quantum... that's insane—"

He was grinning as he looked at Hazel, who returned the smile. Then he looked to Fury and Hill who were staring at him with confused expressions. The smile fell from his face as he shook his head, "Sorry... it's just really cool."
