"I'm Willow Bruno, Jack's daughter," I say politely with a smile to the twins while turning around to look at them. "It's nice to meet you Willow," Sara smiles at me. I look over at Seth and we lock eyes. I feel gravity shift and my heart starts beating faster then normal. Sara looks between the two of us and smiles. Seth gives me a heart-stopping smile. I blush and give him a small smile and turn around. I look out the window and relax for the journey ahead.
After about an hour, I look around and see we're in the middle of nowhere. I look at the mile monitor that tracks the money and miles to see that they owe, as of now, 397 dollars and 40 cents. "Are your parents ok with you spending this much money?" Dad questions the two teens in the back. "We previously agreed on our financial deal," Seth continues, "if you are concerned with the financial deal-" "-my concern is that I got a couple of kids in the back of my cab that has a big wad of cash and the drop off location is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Now in my book, that's a little chapter called running away," Dad finishes. That does seem a little fishy to me if you really think about it. The radio to the taxi goes off. "Jack, you better be getting desert miles on that monitor and they better be able to pay and you better get me an ata!" The person says over the radio. Must be dad's boss. Dad grabs he radio to answer back, "I'm loosing reception Dominic." "Jack-" the radio gets cut off since we have no reception out here. Sara and Seth look out of the back window and quickly look at each other with a worried look on their faces. I turn around quickly to ask, "Are you guys ok? You seem a little worried." Seth looks at me while Sara tells my dad,"Jack Bruno, the vehicles behind us are in a pattern of pursuit." "There's no vehicles following us," Dad shrugs it off. I look in the side view mirror and see a vehicle behind us. "You might wanna look for yourself dad," I say urgently. Dad looks in the rear view mirror and sees what we are talking about.
"At your current speed versus there's, they'll take our vehicle in less then a minute,"Seth tells dad. "Relax kid. I'm just going to let them pass," Dad again shrugs it off like it's not big deal. The twins look at each other with worried looks covering their entire facial features. Dad looks in the side view mirror and puts his window down directing the cars to go around. "Open road people! Go around!" He tells out the window. Dad puts his window up as a black SUV goes around us. I tense up knowing this won't end good. "What did I tell ya? There's nobody follo-" Dad gets cut off by Sara yelling his name. Dad quickly looks back at the road and sees the SUV block out way and two more hit the bumper making the taxi spin. I scream at the top of my longs and hang on to the handle while dad tries to get the car under control. After spinning a few times, dad gets the car straight again and goes around the SUV in front of us. The two others follow us closely. "I said I was out and I meant it!" Dad snaps with worry in his tone. I look back and see Sara look back quickly and turns around almost like a whiplash. "It's Mr. Wolf Jack Bruno," Sara says quickly. "How do you know that?" Dad questions as the SUV hits the cab making my head hit the dashboard hard. I groan as a little bit of blood drips down my forehead. I groan in pain as I try to stop the throbbing in my head. Dad looks over quickly and grabs a tissue and hands it to me. "Get in the back Willow now!" Dad orders. I quickly unbuckle my seatbelt and with the help of Sara and Seth. I get in the back safely. I sit between the two and Sara helps me out with my head. "You'll be ok Willow. Trust me," Sara says kindly. I nod my head and I feel an arm pull me to the left. I rest my head on the person's shoulder and look to see Seth is holding me. He grabs the tissue out of my hand and holds it on my head for me. I give him a smile to give a little thank you.
"Get down now!" Dad quickly yells. All three of us in the back duck our heads and Seth still has his arm around me. Dad tries to get the SUVs off the road since they are boxing us in. He goes back and forth trying to get us unboxed. I grab onto Seth's arm like he's my lifeline. "Hole on," Dad instructs us. Two of the three SUVs get off the road and we come back up and turn to see the damage dad did. "Jack Bruno it appears that we didn't loose them," Sara says, worry laced in her voice. Dad looks back and sees another SUV. Dad shakes his head, "I'm so over this. Stay down stay down!" Dad tells. We duck again and I cuddle closer to Seth as his grip tightens on me.
Another SUB hits the taxi and the door opens but sadly Seth's hold wasn't strong enough to keep me in the car. "Willow!" Everyone yells as I fly out of the the taxi and land on the road rolling for a little bit. I groan as I'm on my stomach. I look to see and SUV not to far from me. My eyes widen thinking it's the end for me.
