Bernice P.O.V.
I was sitting down on my couch watching the new show Flava of Love while eating some lays chips and drinking sweet tea.
Nui was laying down cause of everything that happened at school today but I'm just glad my baby won the fight cause I would've whooped somebody kids ass for touching my nui baby.
The front doorknob jiggles as someone was trying to get in but it was just Darius sorry ass.
Darius finally unlocked the door and came into the house stumbling and tripping over everything.
"Ah... fuck I done hit my damn toe." Darius said.
He walked past me and I almost threw up. He smelled of liquor and rough sex, his clothes were dirty and he was talking loud as fuck for no damn reason.
"Where the fuck is lee-lee at."He slurred out his mouth.
"She laying down Darius she don't fucking feel good." I said.
" Bitch it's 5:15 right now her ass need to get up and clean this damn house." He muttered.
"Nigga you the last person that need to be talking about cleaning up any fucking thing, and stop calling me a bitch before I show you one." I semi-yelled.
He looked at me with the coldest black eyes and balled up his fist.
"What the fuck did you just say to me." He said.
When he said that, it put fear into my heart and soul because of the way he said it and the way he looked at me. I felt a cold shiver caress my neck going down my spine as the hairs of my arms and neck stood up. But I wasn't gonna let him know I was afraid cause that's what he feeds off of.
" Darius I meant what the fuck I said and said what the fuck I meant I ain't stutter.") I said.
He stared at me for five minutes with a cold glare but it felt like an hour. Out of nowhere he slapped the shit out of me. I stumbled to the floor as I was holding the side of my face he just hit and I felt a tear roll down my face.
"Bitch don't you ever speak to me like that again,nah fuck that imma teach yo ass a lesson dumb hoe." He yelled.
He dragged me and pulled me by my hair as he continued to punch and kick me in my face as I cried for him to stop he didn't he kept going and then I started to feel nothing, I felt numb. My ears were ringing as my vision started to get blurry and I then hear my precious angel say "Daddy Stop." She said. And I smiled at her as I blacked out.
Jeighlee P.O.V.
I woke up and I heard loud yelling and commotion. I'm use to my parents arguing but it all started when my dad became one the most notorious drug dealer but he started neglecting us and it seemed like he would mess with other girls and then just come home to fuss and fight with mommy.
I put my ear to the door and listened to what they were saying.
"Nigga you the last person that need to be talking about cleaning up any fucking thing, and stop calling me a bitch before I show you one." I heard mommy say.
" What the fuck did you just say to me." Daddy said.
My heart started pumping so fast. My chest felt like it was going to cave in and I felt like I couldn't breathe as I just hope mommy doesn't set him off because he has hit mommy many times before.
" Darius I meant what the fuck I said and said what the fuck I meant I ain't stutter.") I heard mommy say.
I knew that when she said that, it was gonna set him off. Then I started to hear my mommy cry and scream for daddy to stop. I opened the door and I almost threw up when I seen daddy dragging mommy by her hair smiling menacingly as he saw her feeling pain fear and regret while he continued kicking,punching, and stomping on her face and stomach. I was scared because the person who was doing that didn't even deserve to be called daddy. It was like he felt as if he was at his happiest beating mommy. I then went out of my room and I screamed " DADDY STOP." My mommy looked at me and smiled and then she blacked out.
" Oh look who's up is that my lee-lee." He said.
"I heard what you did at school, maybe I should beat your ass just like I beat your mothers little dumb brat."he spat.
" NO DADDY LEAVE ME ALONE I HATE YOU."I screamed as he pulled me by my hair into the bedroom.
" You think you so big and bad now huh." He said as he started unbuckling his pants. I was in shock, I was confused as I didn't know what was going on but, I knew it wasn't right.
"You should've kept your mouth shut." He said.
" All of this is your fucking fault dad you always drink and get high then come here and fight us fuck you." I said as I spit in his face.
He pulled down my underwear and put something inside of my Nono place and I screamed.
"DADDY PLEASE STOP IT HURTS DA-"I screamed as he kept going and slapped me every time I screamed. I started to feel weak and numb as I was blacking out. Am I dying.
3 month later
I woke up and I didn't know where I was. I looked around and I seen my grandma from Hati asleep in the corner. After a few minutes of being confused I see an iv connected to my arm and that's when everything came back to me. I started to kick and scream."Baby it's okay Jeighlee ." Grandma said.
I don't know why but I couldn't help myself, I couldn't calm down .
The nurse came in and tried to calm me but it wouldn't work. "Ma'am were gonna have to sedate her." I heard the nurse say.
I blacked out again
1 hour later
I woke up again but this time I counted down to ten then opened up my eyes. I see my grandma look me in my face.
"Grandma...what happened?"I asked.
My grandma looks at me with her sweet comforting brown eyes and said." Baby girl" she hesitated. "We found you on the bed with your face bruised and bloody whilst your clothes ripped off." She said in her thick accent. I felt a tear roll down my face as well as hers. " Your mother wasn't answering her phone when I was coming to visit y'all that week and I felt something was wrong so I got the police to escort me over to your house and... the officer went in first and found your mother on the floor dead and then we found you."She said throwing up in the trash can next to her as she felt disgusted.
I felt my heart sank to my stomach.My mother died? The only person who loved me when I didn't love myself. I cried so much but I knew that when I find my dad I was gonna kill him and get kill anyone who tries to get in my way. My heart went cold and so did my soul. He took the best thing from me now watch as I take the best thing from him.
