"Daphne!" She heard him scream and immediately went out from her hiding place. He was still catching his breath when he pulled her for a tight hug. "I thought.." she can hear his heavy breathing. "You're okay now.." he gently touched her hair that made her cry more.
"I'm sorry.." that's all she can say. "I'm sorry for avoiding you.."
All the things she thought about him, denying what's between them, suddenly fade away from her mind. And that's not what he wants. He pulled out from the hug as he remembered what the caller said.
"Seth, I have something to tell you.. it'll be now or never." She paused for a while, "I think I'm in lov—"
"Forget everything about me."
"W-what? What do you mean?" She was so confused.
"It's for your own good. I'm sorry." He called a cab for her. "Go home now. This will be the last time I'll save you. I'm sorry." The cab arrived and he left her, shattered.
