I yelled as I approached Zach, who was leaning against his car. "Oh it will be, now lets go," Zach said as he turned to open his car door. "Wait what? Zach we can't just leave school," I said, stopping him. "Sure we can. Have you ever skipped?" Zach asked me. I shook my head no. "Well there's a first for everything." "I don't know Zach." "Come on y/n, live a little. Trust me, you'll love what I have planned." "Okay," I said, reluctantly. He smiled and turned to open the car door for me. I got in and he ran around to the other side and got in. "Are you gonna tell me where we are going?" I asked after he started driving. "Nope, you'll see soon enough," Zach said, giving me a slight smirk. I sighed and stared out the window, waiting to find out where he was taking me. My phone buzzed, it was a text from Gabbie. ______________ IMESSAGE Luvs💕 Gabs🥰💗: y/n where are you? You just left in the middle of class, that was 20 minutes ago You: um well I'm kinda in the car with Zach Christina💕: ooooooo Tate💜: what are you guys doing? You: i honestly don't know he texted me telling me to come outside and that it was urgent and now he's taking me somewhere Gabs🥰💗: oh boy well have fun and I'll cover for you for the rest of the day You: thanks Gabs Christina💕: fill us in later!! Tate💜: ^^^^ You: i will bye girls _____________ Zach stopped the car and I looked out at the place in front of us. "The beach?" I asked. "Yes, now lets go," he said opening his car door and getting out. I opened mine and walked over to him. "Zach I don't have a bathing suit." "Neither do I." "Then, why?" Zach shrugged before grabbing my hand and tugging me slightly to follow him. The beach was pretty much empty considering that it was the middle of day and everyone was either at work or school. Zach sat down causing me to stop short before sitting next to him. "Recognize anything," Zach asked, turning his head to look at me. I lifted my head and looked around before realizing where we were. "This is the spot where we had our first date. You're really that cheesy, Herron." He smiled, "only for you." I blushed and looked down at my hands. Zach put his fingers under my chin and turned my head so that I was facing him. He placed his lips on mine and I kissed back. As we were kissing, he stood up and picked me up with him. I pulled away from the kiss, "what are you doing?" His eyes shot from the water behind me to my face, a smirk spread across his lips. "Zach," I said cautiously. Zach started to book it towards the water. "What the hell?! We are wearing clothes not bathing suits!" I screamed, grabbing his back tightly as he picked up his pace. All he did was laugh. I felt a wave splash against me, drenching me in water. I moved my wet hair out of my face as I looked at Zach like he was insane. We were in about waist deep water now. Zach was still holding me, his arms around my waist. My legs wrapped around his torso and my arms were around his neck. "You're crazy, you know that?" I said to Zach. "Yeah, I'm pretty crazy for you," he said with a proud smile. I shook my head and laughed. I looked at Zach and tilted my head when I saw him staring at me. "What?" I asked. "You scrunch your face when you laugh, it's cute." I blushed at his comment. "Be my girlfriend," Zach blurted out. I looked at him, surprised at his suddenness. "I understand if you're not ready." "No, no, I am. I just didn't expect that." "So?" "So yes, I will be your girlfriend." He smiled, the same dumb grin he had after our first kiss but bigger and brighter. If that's even possible. He pulled me into a kiss but this time more passionate than the last. Once we pulled away we smiled at each other. We spent the next hour swimming around. "Zach, my car is still at school." "We can drive back and get it." We got out of the water and went to Zach's car still soaking wet. He drove back to school, he parked and we both got out. The bell had just rung so everyone was currently leaving. Zach and I were leaning against his car, our hands intertwined. We were waiting for our friends because I had to drive Gabbie home. "Well, well, well, look who it is." Jonah said. "You idiots are wet." Corbyn said. Zach and I looked at each other and our wet clothes that were sticking to us before laughing. "What did you guys even do oh my god," Tate said. "We went to the beach," Zach said. "Why exactly?" Daniel asked. "I had some important business to take care of," Zach said looking down at me and smiling. Everyone was looking at us and raising their eyebrows, their eyes practically popping out of their heads. "Are you two?" Christina asked, pointing between Zach and I. "Yes," Zach and I both said. Gabbie, Christina, and Tate squealed. "Finally!" They all said. "You guys want to come over?" Christina asked. "Sure," we all said. I gave Zach a quick peck, "see you in like five minutes." "Bye babe," he laughed. Everyone awed.
