Promise The Stars

Chapter 1

It's 11:07 pm in the quiet zone. For you who doesn't know where that is, it's in Gerorgia. The sky looks so boring over here. There's the moon though, but it's all alone, like me.

I wasn't always this alone I used to have friends, used to. I remember me and Tina Grey or as I used to call her ''milkfish'' ride together in our little bikes around town. she moved away four or five years ago, I couldn't call her because, well it's the quiet zone, cellphones,telephones,computers anything electronic that can send shockwaves are prohibited here. Luke Vandergild the most handsome boy in town used to play with us every Sunday. that is after he got carried away with his wealth and got into drugs and became a handsome drug lord and pusher. I hear that the police are still chasing him across the states as of today but really who knows? And finally, Dylan Crimson my bestest friend. we always go to the local park and go fly our kites together. our parents even joked that we would someday be husband and wife, I for one wanted the same thing. but that was before he treatend me. he told me that if I did not give him the passcode to my family's bank he would marry someone else and leave me. so I did, I gave him the passcode to my family's money, what can I say I was only thirteen, young and stupid. anyways in the end he left, oviously with my money. he never married me in ten years, and we did not live happily ever after and finally I got stuck in High School.

two weeks after he left I kept crying and sobbing my eyes out, until one day I finally got up my bed, wipe my tears and told myself that I needed advanced medication. so I took a bath, got dressed and fetched some ice cream at Sammy's Diner, the only other place that I can call home aside from home.

So back to the sky, the moon and the never ending darkness that covers the night. there's not really that much to talk about is there?

there are so many questions that you can disscus with other people about that three topics, an infinite perhaps. but not everybody can see, that's the sad part though we don't apreciate much of the beauty of the universe that is giving us life but also tearing us apart.

1:45 am

I guess over thinking about things make you forget the priorities you need to keep in order.

I take a long last look at the sky for tonight, then I decided that I needed to get some sleep

I woke up by the weid tapping sounds from my window. ''the wind, it's just the wind'' I thought to myself.

I slept again

tap...tap...tap

it keeps getting louder

''Cassie...it's me Lilian Cole!''

Lilian Cole, the town sweetheart is at my balcony window at three in the morning. but why?

I let her in my room,as quiet as possible for the patrol can hear and see anything that is in the curb

''what's wrong? I asked her

''haven't you heard?'' she asked me

''no. what is is?'' I asked her again

''youre Zedric Anthony's valentine!''  she almost screamed

''imposible! I did not put him on my list. infact I did not put anybody on my list'' I protested '' unless he-''

''he put you on his list!'' she said

Zedric Anthony. how could he? I bet it was all just a miss understanding,maybe it said Clarissa Potter. our names were always mixed up before. or maybe a dare, a dare to put my name in his list and go to a fake cheap date with me.

''he asked me to come over and tell you the news'' she said

''thank you, but tell him no...'' I said

''but it's Zedric Anthony youre missing out!'' she said

''so?'' I asked

''everything will change in a good way if you do it'' she said

I paused for a minute and think. a heartrob want's to ask you out Cassandra! youre so close to your happily ever after. but what if he breaks my heart like what Dylan did? and a happily ever after? seriously grow up Cassandra.

without thinking it throughly I let out a breath and say...''okay''

what was I thinking?

it's a joke, he would't go out with me

I'm a joke

I'm THE joke

the joke that everybody would laugh at

I would be freaking embarrassed in front of the whole school
