Kol new he had to invite Stefan, Matt and Tyler to adalees funeral and knew today was going to be one of the worst days of his life he stood with Vincent and marcel he knew klaus would be at camis funeral which angered him adalee was his best friends or so he said but where was he because he wasn't there with his brother like kol had hoped kol stood anxiously watching Matt, Tyler and Stefan step towards them each step they took felt like a hour every minute kol spent without adalee felt like a century all concept of time had been lost with out her his life was meaningless and time practically stood still
"Please tell me it's not true" Tyler croaked kol looked to the floor "she's gone" he muttered Tyler picked him up slamming him to the floor "this is you, your family everyone around you dies" he screamed angrily kol didn't retaliate but instead accepted Tyler's attack "I'm sorry" was all kol could say Stefan pulled Tyler off "this wont bring her back let's give her a proper funeral" Matt said softly Tyler nodded
"I didn't know adalee long but I knew her enough she was brave and fearless and was stronger than anyone I've ever met she deserved better" Vincent said Tyler fell to his knees in front of her grave crying "my sister, my baby sister. I loved you from the moment mum brought you home. I'm sorry I failed you, I should have never let you leave I should have kept you in my sights I should have protected you, it was my job as your brother to protect you and I couldn't even do that I love you ads" he said sadly looking at the floor Matt placed his hand on his friends shoulder comfortingly
"You were one of my best friends after I lost Elena I thought I'd never be happy you taught me how to live how to be myself I'm going to miss you so much Ads I love you" Stefan said matt was crying "I don't even know what to say to you Ads there's nothing I could say which you don't know already, you know I love you like a little sister I can't imagine living a life without you Ads but I wish nothing more to have you back here where you belong" Matt said everyone looked to kol
"In over a thousand years I've never felt as much love as I had when I was with you, you make me want to be this different person a better person. And now your gone I barley even know who I am anymore it's like my world has crumbled into a thousand pieces and I have no idea how to put it back together again I would trade my life for yours if I could you know you dedicated the last year to finding a way to bring me back and I swear to you Ads I'll never stop searching for a way to bring you back, I love you so much always and forever" kol said now unable to face Adalees friends and family he turned speeding away back to the compound

"Kol" klaus said from behind his brother kol turned to face him a drink in his hand "how was it" klaus cautiously asked not wanting to upset his already fragile brother "maybe if you had shown up you'd know" kol bit at him glaring "you know why I wasn't there" klaus said softly kols anger grew "she was supposed to be your bestfriend" he shouted smashing the glass in his hand into a thousand pieces he looked down at the pieces "it's broken" he said and began to cry as he tried to pick up all the pieces

Klaus crouched down "it's okay kol I'll tidy it" klaus said sympathy on his face "you don't get it, you can't tidy it up it's broken and beyond repair it's hopeless it's just plain broken and there's no fixing it's" kol sobbed "are we still talking about the glass" klaus asked "you should have been there" kol said standing up "i needed you there" he added he rarely opened up to his family like he was now "I'm sorry brother" was all klaus could respond "your not her best friend you used her for her powers like everyone else, no one loved her like I did no ones suffering like I am" kol said klaus heart was breaking for his younger brother and although he couldn't understand kols pain he had a rough idea of how much pain he must be in he went to wrap his arms around kol but kol shoved him away "stay away from me" kol seethed in anger storming out the room
