Rachel's POV

I walked into the room where the ceremony would be, and it was absolutely beautiful. There were two chandeliers on either side and there were candles on the steps leading up to the alter. The lights were purple and blue and added to the fact that it was so beautiful.

Josh was sitting in the third row from the front and Jessica was going to sit next to him with her husband after she finished walking down the aisle. Jaxon, Maria, Jazmyn, and Allie were going to sit in their row as well; so I couldn't sit with them since it would be full. I saw Pattie and her friends sitting in front of them, so I decided to be a nice person and go say hello.

"Hi." I said once I approached them. Pattie stopped her conversation and looked up at me. "Oh, Rachel. How lovely to see you." She said in a condescending tone, but I decided to shake it off. "The pleasure's all mine." I smiled. "I would invite you to come sit with us, but our row is full. I'm so sorry." She said, gesturing to the friends she was sitting with. "Don't worry, it's okay. I'll go sit somewhere else." I said, turning to walk away before Pattie's friend, Emma, grabbed my arm. I knelt down to her level as she cupped her mouth with her hands as an indication that she wanted to whisper something to me. "You look beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you different." She said. I stood up before smiling at her and walking away to the row in front of them where a woman was sitting all by herself.

As I walked towards her, I immediately knew who she was. Her name is Allison Caine, she's the first woman to win Best Director at the Academy Awards. She's one of my inspirations and I truly wish I could work with her on a movie.

"Allison Caine. Hi, I'm Rachel Taylor. I attended the Los Angeles premiere of your movie, 'Boys Wear Pink'." I said, sitting next to her. "I received so much criticism about that movie." She said. "I think your critics missed the point. We need to break the stereotypical gender roles, and that starts with women standing up for what is right." I said. "What is your name again?" She asked, turning to me. "Rachel Taylor." I replied, shaking her hand. "It's lovely to meet you, Rachel. Now, what are you doing here?" She asked. "My boyfriend is Ryan's best man." I replied. "Oh, that's great. I've known Ashley ever since she was a baby. I used to live down the street from them so I would baby sit her. She and Ryan make a lovely couple." She said. "Yeah, they do. They picked Justin and I up from the airport. You can just tell that they belong together." I replied.

"Well, we should probably be quiet now. I think it's about to start." Allison said as the pastor approached the altar.

Justin's POV

I was currently at the start of the aisle, waiting to walk down it after Ryan. "Are you nervous?" I asked him. "Surprisingly, no. Hey, Rachel's not sitting with your family." He replied, changing the subject. "Yeah, I don't blame her. My mom hasn't exactly been the most welcoming. She's probably sitting in the back row somewhere, laying low." I said, shrugging. "No. She's right at the front. She's talking to Allison Caine. Come look." He replied, moving out of the way so I could see her. I immediately spotted her from the back. She looked gorgeous from her makeup to her dress. I stood there looking at her when Ryan cleared his throat.

"I don't want to interrupt you standing there looking like a love sick puppy. But, I need to get married." Ryan said, slowly moving me out of the way. "Right." I said, going to stand behind him.

No One's POV

Everything was all set up for Ryan and Ashley's wedding the way it was supposed to. The event space was dimly lit with the aisle the only thing in focus, as it should be. The wedding singer was none other than Grammy winning recording artist, Ed Sheeran, who would be performing an acoustic rendition of his hit song, 'Perfect'. That was an accurate description of the way this day was going to be.
