He held Cassie's hand as she lays in the hospital bed. She had been sleeping for 2 months.
"I can't believe I let this happen to you. You told me not to go but I did anyway because I'm dumb. I was angry with you and that be the last thing you remember. Baby if you can hear me I'm sorry"
The boys watched as Edwin became undone. Falling to his knees next to her.
"I was so stressed. I told you I hated you. That we should break up because I was insecure about us. I won't make excuses, I don't deserve the privilege, but you shouldn't have suffered. As soon as I heard the gun shots I ran back inside to find you...I couldn't. You were upstairs. He shit you because of me and now your gone"
The guys felt horrible for Edwin. There is nothing they can do to smooth the guilt, the pain.
"Please baby. Open your eyes. Tell me that your okay. Make fun of Zion, please do something"
He could not stop crying thinking that he'll never here your voice again.
You didn't deserve this.
"I want to go back and start over. Ill do it over just wake up please. For me please. I want to love you. Don't leave me. Don't leave us"
The nurse came in and looked at them with an uneasy expression.
"Um, gentlemen? Visiting hours are over. She needs her rest"
Everyone turned to leave except Edwin.
"Will she ever wake up?"
"Only time can tell"
He went to leave and felt a small grip on his wrist.
He looked down at her.
A small smile was on her faded face. He knew she was asleep but knowing she heard him gave him hope.
Hope that she'll make it.
"Well I guess that's your answer", the nurse smiled.
