A Note From the Author

Hey all! So, I am very super duperously excitable and hyped for Animal Crossing New Horizons. I noticed that a lot of people are going to write Journals recording the development of their islands. I decided that it was a cool idea but rather than writing a journal from the perspective of myself playing the game, I thought I'd write a journal from the perspective of my character.

This probably won't be a narrative masterpiece but I thought it would be fun, the grammar may also be a little off which is mostly intentional from a journal point of view, I don't want it to appear too deliberate and I will be writing this in a physical book as it happens like a normal journal so there will also probably be some accidental mistakes, but hopefully that will just give this more of an authentic journal/diary feel. The dates that are in the entries are the date it was written but entries may be published on different days to when they were written, so that's why the publish date may not match the date in the journal. I hope that any of you who read it enjoy it.

It's also worth noting that the entry dated 19/03/20 mostly happened on 20/03/20 but New Horizons has a 'Tutorial Day' before it syncs up with real-time, so to avoid any paradoxes, I decided that the 'Tutorial Day' would be considered the 19th. I'd love to have been able to play the game on the 19th but unfortunately, I had to wait until the 20th.
