Finn sliced through the water, tightly clutching a sleeping Aislyn close to his chest. Looking down with worried eyes, he thought back over the last 3 days they had spent together travelling. She had been uncharacteristically quiet and on the occasions that they had stopped so that Finn could rest, she had just sat on the sea bed and ignored his attempts at communication.

Sensing they were nearing their destination, Finn nudged her awake began to swim up to the surface, where he could already see the sun's rays shining through the waves.

Waking from her dreamless sleep, Aislyn panicked for a second before realizing where she was. She turned her head to Finn and signed, "Are we there yet?"

He nodded in return and carried on swimming upwards.

Aislyn's flame winked out as she could feel the water surrounding her heating up naturally and that she could now see that the rest of the sea was no longer a dark shadow.

Finn and Aislyn both broke the surface at the same time and Aislyn turned to him with a mischievous grin on her face. The look on his face warned her not to try anything but she ignored him as per usual; puckering her lips, she spat out a steady stream of water, right in Finn's unamused face. Failing to control her laughter, she opened her mouth wide and began to cackle, water spill out over her lips.

After her laughing fit subsided, she just stayed where she was, treading water resorting back to her with a forlorn from earlier, looking over at the nearby beach.

Tapping her on the shoulder and waiting for her to face her, Finn signed, "Alright?"

She harrumphed and said, "just got a lot to think about. The mission didn't turn out how I thought it would," signing as she went along.

Finn nodded his understanding and grabbed her hand, slowly pulling her towards the beach. Aislyn, trying to work her way out of the slump she had put herself in, snatched her hand out of his.

He spun around, thinking something was wrong, and Aislyn pounced on him, pushing him underwater. Whilst he was recovering from the surprise attack, Aislyn began to swim back to shore as fast as she could, choking on water from the laughs she couldn't help from slip out.

A scaly hand tightened around her ankle and she creamed, playfully, as she felt herself being pulled under.

"Aislyn!"

She could hear someone calling her name from the shore and just before she went under, she could see someone running into the sea, yanking his shirt over his head. Someone with a crop of pink hair.

She frantically reached for the hand around her ankle and pulled on it, trying to get Finn's attention.

After a few tugs, he looked up to see the urgent look in her eyes and immediately released his grip, all playfulness gone.

In a hurried state, she quickly explained that someone was coming and that he had to go.

Finn nodded to show his agreement and pulled off her bag that he had been holding for her, and quickly handed it to her. After a quick hug, Finn made haste and darted away, staying low to the seabed where there was less light.

Not even five seconds after he had left, Aislyn felt a sharp tug on the hood of her cape and she looked up to see Logan pulling her to the surface. She began to swim next to him and within a few seconds, they reached the surface where Aislyn pretend to gasp for air.

Logan, pink hair hanging in his eyes, grabbed her shoulders and shook her asking worriedly, "Are you alright?"

Aislyn, struggling to tread water with the weight of her bag, settled for a nod, telling him she was just trying to look at something before swimming back to shore. She crawled up on the sand and sat down, feet spread apart and glanced over at Jackson who was breathing heavily.

He turned his gaze on her and asked, "What was that thing? Why were you in the water? Why are you fully clothed in the water? What is that thing you're wearing? What. The. Fuck?"

Dramatically sighing, Aislyn stretched open her arms and fell backwards onto the ground, sending sand flying everywhere.

"So many questions, Princess," she replied covering her eyes with her arm.

"Tell me why I had to jump in after you and pull you out the water! Say something!"

"Something," mumbled Aislyn.

"I'm going to tell your brother."

Aislyn shot up at this and sent an evil glare his way.

"Don't be a snitch."

Logan ignored her and turned to walk away grumbling about saving her for nothing.

Aislyn lay back on the ground and cover her eyes again. Hearing him walking further and further way, she called after him, "You show me yours and I'll show you mine."

"What?"

"You tell my brother about me, and I'll tell him about your own little secret, Princess."

Hearing him stumbled over his own feet, she smiled to herself and began to hum a random tune.

"What secret, Aislyn?"

Ignoring him, she just hummed louder.

"Aislyn."

She removed her arm to see Logan standing over her, blocking out the sunlight. His face had gone pale and she could see the nervousness in his eyes.

"Hmm?" she replied and began picking at her nails, "Does your fur turn pink from the dye too?" she asked him resuming her humming.

Logan crouched down and grabbed her hand, roughing yanking her up so that she was a sitting position.

His throat bobbled anxiously, and he lowered his voice to a low grumble.

"You can't tell anyone, Aislyn, I mean it."

She smiled and pat his cheek.

"Sure thing, Princess. Or maybe I should start to call you shapeshifter," she mused, rubbing her chin.

"Aislyn! Please!" he begged her.

"I won't tell if you don't tell."

"Won't tell what?"

"Won't tell Jackson or Tam or anyone else where you saw me. Who you saw me with. What I'm wearing," she shrugged, "just forget you saw me here."

Logan nodded his head..

As he opened his mouth to say something else, Aislyn cut him off and held up a hand.

"Come to my room tonight," she told him, "I can explain somethings to you."

Logan sucked in air through his teeth and wiped perspiration from his forehead with the back of his hand

"Okay," he replied, unusually quiet for his normal self.

Sensing he was near panic, Aislyn smiled and braced her arms behind her, lifted her face towards the sun.

"Go on then," she, jerking her head back in the direction of the Community House, "I'll make my grand entrance in a bit."

Logan just shook his head and ran off in a hurry, saying nothing else.
