Sweet dreams ... (Part 2 of Finally Home)

It didn't take long to get to his house, since his family moved to salt lake just before he went on his mission.

They ran to their house, dropped his suitcases off and went to the church. When you got there, All of you piled out of the van and you waited out in The hall with his family while he went in to talk to the stake president and be released. When they came out, the stake president said a few words to The Mylers and then all of you left.

Back at the Mylers home, Tanner unpacked and dug into the boxes of his stuff that had been stored away for two years. He changed into his old clothes. He looked good. He chose to wear a white v-neck shirt and some beige jeans. You smiled when you saw him wearing his normal clothes. That was his favorite outfit before his mission.

After everything settled down, his mom made dinner and you gathered around the table with his family. The prayer was said and he started telling stories from his mission.

The part you loved the most is when he told about one of his companions that came from Asia, Elder Sumayake (pronounced soo-muh-yah-kee). He said his little sister had been to one of the concerts that the band had done on their Asia tour and that she loved the band so much and was grateful for the good that they did.

After dinner, Tanner helped his mom do dishes and you say at the table, listening to him and his mom converse. When he was done, he came and sat next to you.

"So how's my little friend, Julia?" He asked, smiling.

"Pretty good" you replied with a smile.

"Well, I've told you about some of my experiences, how have you been while I was gone?" he asked.

"Well," you said, then told him all the changes of the last two years. You told him a lot of funny stories and showed him some new memes that other Beyonders have made. He loved every single one of them.

*bzzzz bzzzzz* your phone went off.

Your mom: "it's getting late, you should probably come home. Tell Tanner I said hello. :)" you realized it's 10:38.

"Awwww." You say, frowning. She's right though. You think.

"What?" Tanner asks.

"My mom says hi. She also said its getting late and I probably need to go home."

"Oh... Ok. Well I'll give you a ride." He says, and with that, he walks into the other room and get the keys for his beautiful yellow truck. You get all your stuff and he walks you out to the truck. He opened your door for you, then walked around and got in the drivers seat.

"It has been soooo long! I missed you, babe!" he says, kissing the steering wheel. You laugh as he starts the engine. Then he turned to you and said, "I missed you more, though." Your eyes get wide and you smile then look down, then back up at him. He smiles, then backs out of the driveway and heads for your house.

"I missed you too, Tanner." You say quietly. He turns and looks at you then back at the road.

He smiled and said, "I loved getting your emails! It was always the highlight of my week when I was having a tough time."

"Awww! Tanner, thank you!" you said, placing your hands over your heart.

"I really like you, Julia."

Your heart just skipped a beat. What?? You think. "Really?" you ask In disbelief.

"Yeah. It's been hard to not see you for so long, but you're here now." He said, smiling at you.

"Oh my gosh, Tanner, I like you too!!" You say.

"Really?! That's great!!" He exclaimed. "So then ... Do you wanna go out on a date next friday?"

"Oh, Tanner, I would love to!" you reply excitedly. You couldn't believe this was happening! your dream was coming true!

You two finally got to your house and You unbuckled and started to open your door.

"Hey! Wait! Stop!" Tanner screamed. You turned and looked at him in fright.

"What??" you ask. He hops out and runs around to the passenger door and opens it.

"I wanted to open your door for you." he chuckled, then reached out his hand for yours.

"Well, gosh, Tanner you scared me!" you laugh and put your hand in his. He helps you down and walks you to the door.

Finally, you get to hug him. You two stand there for a couple minutes. You love his scent and how you can feel him breathing. He kisses you on top of your head.

"I'll see you soon, ok?" he said, smiling.

"Okay." You reply.

You walk inside and feel a wave of sleepiness overcome you, so you walk past your moms room on the way to your own, make sure she knows your home, and crash on your bed, where you have sweet dreams of Tanner.
