Damien tightened its dark grey tie around its thick neck, scanning the door to the fifth bar it's been to. It noticed the No Androids Allowed sign on the door as it was about to push it open. It pushed open the door and was greeted with soft chatter as it scanned nearby faces for the man it was looking for.

Its search was not that long. It scanned a hunched man at the bar counter, solemnly drinking Scotch. Damien walked towards the older man and stood on his right side and bent over slightly.

"It was slightly hard finding you. I couldn't find you at the station. A couple of co-workers suggested you would be at the nearest bar. I'm glad I could find you at the fifth one." The male rolled his eyes, ignoring the android, already annoyed by it. "Lieutenant Mann," The android started again, the mellow tone in its voicebox was soothing to the ears but nails on chalkboard for the older male. The older man glanced slightly to his right and groaned, taking another sip of his drink. "My name is Damien, the android sent by CyberLife. I've been sent to help you with Deviant cases. Especially, this new homicide you've been assigned to."

The older man sneered at the android and sighed heavily.
"Why did they have to give me this plastic fucker... And why couldn't they make him a girl? Can't you go by yourself?" Since Damien could not feel emotion, nor pain, this comment did not affect it in the slightest, so it continued.

"Lieutenant Mann, my instructions strongly suggest I must assist you."

"Do you know where you can shove your instructions?" The man snickerd. Damien was confused, it did not really know where it was supposed to take its instructions, it could not physically put them anywhere.

"No..." It paused. "Where?"

Arvin 🔻

"Forget it." The male rolled his black eyes and ran a hand through his short, black hair that had a few strands of grey, due to the stress of his job. "Just leave me alone." The android blinked and smiled slightly.

"How about I buy you another for the road?" Damien glanced up and its choclate eyes landed on the bartender. "Excuse me, another one for the man."

ArvinNeutral

"See, David, Androids are useful. Make it a double." The bartender poured the caramel liquid into his crystal glass and he quickly drank it, letting out a small 'Ahh' in satisfaction. "You said it was a homicide?"

-------

Arvin nodded his head to the beat as he blasted electronic dance music, which oddly went with the pitter patter of rain hitting the car,and Damien discovered it was 'EDM' after a quick scan. Arvin parked the Pontiac near the crime scene and turned it off, shifting his attention to Damien.

"Stay in the car, you hear me?" Damien watched the Lieutenant exit his car with a small groan and slam the door shut. Damien furrowed its beautifully arched eyebrows. It was programmed to accompany the man, no matter what. Damien overruled Arvin's instructions and exited the car and quickly caught up to the man, but was stopped by an officer.

"No androids permitted beyond this point." Arvin stopped and turned.

"It's with me." Arvin sneered and the two walked towards the entrance, greeted by another officer. "God it smells like a dead-" The man stopped, seeing that his analogy would look dumb in this situation. "So what happened?" Arvin questioned the other officer, glancing at the dead body slumped against the wall.
