“cut to the chase,”
first, her eyes were swollen and as baggy as the sweatpants under that faded crop top. yewon's hair was combed in an unsual mess. just by seeing this foreign side of her sent a sucker punch guilt at the four standing girls before her.
“can we talk somewhere more privately? it's something important for you to know,” jisoo exclaimed, trying to sound ever so convincing.
but the grieve had clouded most of yewon's mind and you could see her eyes stirred left and right in mere consciousness. still, she eyed them with disbelief, “pardon?”
“its about, uhm..” jennie hesitated for a while but proceeded, “seulgi. and seungyeon.”
“condolences? yeah, still have plenty of that, thanks. yall can leave now—”
jisoo held the door—suprising both yewon and the other three, “hear us out, okay? for once, just hear us out on this. we know what's happening to your friends and we're here to try to help you,”

her garage smelled like a mixture of smoke and expired scented candles. she pushed some tool box with her feet to the center of the space and locked the doors.
everyone took their spot upon the tool boxes. yewon took something from the cluttered desk. she sat. lit a cigarette. took a puff.
lisa slid in between the silence, “did anything obscure has occured since the day of, uh, seulgi's passing?”
yewon scoffed. “if by obscure you mean extravagant, then yes—very much.”
the statement took them off guard. it was not something, or anything at all, they had expected to emerge off her lips. the silence fell thicker.
“but then suddenly, seungyeon..” she didn't have to finish the sentence for that soren was evident within those frail puffy eyes.
“that's why we're trying to help you. seungyeon.. we're afraid that someone is hiding her, on purpose,”
“well no shit, sherlock. she's probably fucking kidnapped, what yall expect?” she took another puff.
“that someone is seulgi.” chaeyoung said.
and yewon coughed her lungs out. she looked at them with blood of fury rising up her throat. “oh you think you're funny? really?”
chaeyoung slammed the late's journal to the cement ground, around yewon's feet. as she picked it up, the young witch continued, “doubt me and my superstitious capabilities all you like, but seulgi has died an unsatisfied death. her energy is strong and growing. she's coming,”
by the time her words drawn to its close, yewon had finally came into the only journal page left existed. her eyes were shaking, lips quaking.
“this is some fucking bullshit. you think you can trick me by throwing these trash talks and scribbling down death notes on a shabby book? get the fuck outta my house!”
yewon rose to her feet.
“yewon, you know very well that that's her handwriting,”
she threw the book at the cluttered desk.
“we're serious. seulgi will come sooner or later for you and she will mean all harm,”
she was unlocking the entrance.
“yewon, please.. listen!”
she shoved them out.
before smashing the door down roughly, she uttered words with tears stained eyes, “i know that we did terrible shits to you people, and i apologize—on behalf of myself and my friends. but fucking up shits like this? how could you even?”
and though it was meant differently, they could still felt the piercing jab of sin for that they indeed were the blame to all this harm. a domino effect impossible to undone.

jang seungyeon was found six days later, lost in hiking hills with only her dirty pajamas on. people said she suffered a post traumatic stress disorder, but she was acting way beyond that. her mood would swing from an entirely quite bedrest to rampaging through the neighborhood—screaming and attacking anyone she came across.
until two weeks after that, she comitted suicide. seungyeon was found hanging in her bedroom. no notes, no traces, no nothing at all.
