A sincere talk

Shota groaned at the loud noise of the alarm, he turned it off and sat up looking at the time it was 6:00 am. Shota sighed and headed towards the bathroom, he got ready for the day. Shota then headed for the kitchen to make breakfast for himself and Hitoshi. He looked at the baby monitor to see Eri still sleeping soundly. Shota put in his headphones and began making breakfast. He hummed along to the songs, when he was interrupted by a text, it was from Nemuri.

Nemuri- Hey Shota you awake?

Shota- Yeah, why?

Nemuri- You want to come over for dinner tonight?

Shota- Sure, what time?

Nemuri- 6?

Shota- Okay, that works.

Nemuri- Okay, see you then bye!

Shota- Bye.

Shota turned off the stove and walked to Hitoshi's room, "'Toshi it's time to wake up." Shota said softly. "Okay." Hitoshi groaned lifting himself.

"Is Eri awake yet?" Hitoshi mumbled.

"No, but I made breakfast for you and me." Shota said Patting Hitoshi's head, "Oh, we're going to your aunts house tonight for dinner."

"We are! I can't wait!" Hitoshi said jumping up and down.

"Okay 'Toshi, but we should get you dressed." Shota laughed grabbing Hitoshi some clothes from his drawer.

Hitoshi and Shota went to the kitchen, Shota plated their food and they ate together. The two talked about random things like school and movies. Shota looked at the baby monitor to see Eri waking up, "I'll be right back 'Toshi." Shota said kissing Hitoshi's forehead.

Shota soon returned with a sleepy Eri, "Hi sis." Hitoshi said kissing Eri, making Eri giggle.

"Hitoshi we gotta go school starts in 30 minutes." Shota said grabbing his satchel full of papers, Eri still in his arms. "Alright, I'm coming!" Hitoshi said grabbing his backpack.

Shota took Hitoshi to school and went to Nemuri and Emi's house to drop off Eri. Then, finally made his way to work. The day went smooth, the usual talkers in class talked, all the students laughing, joking, and flirting. Relationships are overrated, Shota thought, but it would nice to have someone- what am I thinking I do have people I have my wonderful kids and cats. Shota sighed. Shota put in his headphones and started walking train station to get Hitoshi from school. The stations was crowded like always, but everyone keeps some distance. Shota was mindlessly walking when a tall man with long blonde hair pushed Shota making him drop some papers and his phone, while rushing pass to the train,"Seriously!" Shota said catching himself on a wall, "Sorry dude." The man said stopping and walking back to Shota, "It's fine, but I have to go get my son." Shota said picking up the papers, "Dude, you like 'My Chemical Romance'? I do too!" The man smiled, showing a small gap between his two front teeth, handing Shota the phone, "Yeah I do, I would like to talk more,but I really have to go." Shota said standing back up, "Oh yeah sorry for holding you up." The man said with a smile, "Bye, also you apologizes too much." Shota laughed walking away, "Sorry- I mean." The man stopped himself.

Shota got on the train and put his headphones back in looking at his phone. Shota smiled at the thought of that man, that was a struggle. That guy was really nice and helpful with my stuff and he apologized, a bit too much, he was also really cute when he found out I like that band and his smile- Shota stopped his thoughts, felling his heart beat faster and his face being filled with warmth.

Time skip to dinner

"Hey Shota! Can you help me a little?" Emi peaking her head out of the kitchen, "Isn't Nemuri in there though?" Shota asked, "No, she went to the bathroom. Just help me!" Emi whined, "Fine." Shota sighed. Shota helped Emi make a small dish and a cake she couldn't make, "Wow Shota, Nemuri told me you were good at cooking I didn't know you were this good at cooking!" Nemuri said with a perplexed look on her face.

"It's really not that hard." Shota said placing a few dirty dishes into the sink, "Why are you so good at everything?" Emi laughed, "I'm not good at everything, my mom taught me almost everything I know." Shota shrugged, "I guess it paid off."

"'Toshi time to eat!" Emi yelled, "Food!" Hitoshi yelled while running into the kitchen, "Slow down 'Toshi!" Shota laughed grabbing Hitoshi in one swift motion. Everyone grabbed a plate of food and sat down at the table. After eating his food Shota tended to Eri, Shota put Eri down on the ground to play with the cats, "Hey Shota can we talk to you for a minute?" Nemuri asked with a smile, "Uh sure." Shota said puzzled on what they might ask him, with Nemuri it could be anything.

"Okay dad, I told aunt Nemuri and Emi that I think you should start dating!" Hitoshi exclaimed, "What!" Shota was caught off guard by his sons words, "I know it's a little surprising, but we agree with little 'Toshi. We think you should go on the app Emi and I met on." Nemuri said, "Can I have your phone?" Nemuri said gesturing for Shota to give her his phone, "Nemuri." Shota sighed, "Why do you want me to do this?" Shota said, "Because we love you want you to finds a caring person and also because your a lonely old man." Emi laughed.

"I'm not old first of all, second of all I have two kids no guy wants a man with a baby, so it's impossible to find someone for me." Shota said looking at the ground. He liked the idea of it, but he didn't want to say anything, "Shota can I have your phone?" Nemuri asked reaching for the phone, "If I give it to you to set this stupid thing can you at least put the truth?" Shota said raising his phone up above his head, "Of course Shota! Why would I lie?" Nemuri asked trying to grab his phone, "Okay, here." Shota said he was hesitant to give her his phone, who knows what she is going to do?

"Emi, Hitoshi to the bedroom! Shota you stay and watch little Eri, okay Bye!" Nemuri yelled, wow she is really determined, Shota thought.

"Alright, Eri you want some cake?"
