' 1:05 am ' The clock read as Jungkook sat right beside the vents, waiting for his first ever friend to speak through it.

He would've started the conversation, but he was too nervous too. He wasn't that social if you didn't figure.

He tapped his foot impatiently becoming more nervous by the second.

Five more minutes passed until he heard his voice, Taehyungs voice.

"Jungkook?"

The latter gulped as he scooted closer to the single vent on his floor.

"H-hi Tae"

"Where's my midnight song? that wasn't just a two night thing was it?"

Jungkook softly chuckled as he listened to Taehyung's complaints.

"No it wasn't haha.. I was just nervous I guess since now I know that someone is "

"Ah that's ok. well anyways, how was your day?"

Jungkook smiled at the simple question. No ones ever asked him a question like that before.

"Eh nothing special, just another day I guess."

"Sounds fun!"

The two sat in their rooms stupidly smiling to themselves. why? they didn't know. Maybe just the atmosphere?

"Oh I have a game! how about I ask you questions and you answer them!" Tae asked excitedly. 

"Doesn't sound like a game but ok haha" Jungkook chuckled.

"Yay ok! so first.. how old are you?"

"17, turning 18 in 2 months"

Taehyung gasped.

"Oh i'm your hyung! I'm 20 years young" Taehyung replied as Jungkook chuckled in response.

"Ok seconds question, can i call you koo?"

Jungkook blushed at the nickname. He smiled as he leaned closer to the vent.

"O-oh, sure haha. I like it."

"me too" Tae replied

"What's your favorite place to go?"

Jungkook frowned at the question, not aware of an answer.

"Oh um, I don't have a favorite but I've always wanted to go to an ice cream parlor!" The younger smiled as he thought of picking out yummy flavors and toppings.

"Always wanted to? have you never been to one?"

Jungkooks eyes flung open as he realized what he just said.

"O-oh.. u-uh I meant, uh.. oh! I meant that's one of my favorite places to go!"

'nice save' Jungkook applauded himself as he wiped his imaginary sweat off his forhead.

"Ah ok haha"

The two boys continued the next few weeks talking to each other through the vents including Jungkook singing a couple of songs to the older. All so, Taehyung still doesn't know what a hell of a life Jungkook has.
