*YOUR POV*
I walked through the front door. Somehow not getting noticed.
The gang was eating cake and watching Mickey Mouse. Typical, I know.
Dally noticed me, "Hey, Y/n, how are ya...?"
"I'm, uh, good, Dal. Who wants to go to the nightly double?"
Ponyboy and Johnny nodded.
Dally smirked, "Sure, I could go, doll."
"K, great."
I really wanted Two-bit to come. I have a massive crush on him. Guess that ain't gonna happen.
I sighed sadly and went to the kitchen.
"Hey, Dar, I'll wash the dishes. You just go to work."
"Golly, what would I do without you?"
"Nothin'" I remarked, "You work to feed a bunch of lazy bums."
"You should learn from Y/n, Ponyboy." Soda laughed and shot me a toothy grin. Of course, I had to smile.
I washed the dishes and watched Mickey for a while.
"I'm gonna go to the park! And no I don't want you to come along! I wanna be alone!"
"Just take your blade." Dally said.
"And be safe!" Ponyboy called out.
"Ok! Dad!"
My dad, who isn't even my birth dad, takes care of me. Alone. My birth mom left me wrapped in a blanket inside a basket at some alleyway. Then god bless this man found me. I've been living with him since.
I slipped on my leather jacket. By my leather jacket I mean Soda's old leather jacket. I headed out the door.
Ponyboy and I are nothing alike. I'm pretty similar to the rest of the gang but not Ponyboy.
Ponyboy is school and book smart. I'm street smart. I can't solve the area of a damned triangle like Ponyboy can but I sure as hell can fight.
He's got the girls crazy for him. It runs in the family, I guess, because I don't know a girl who isn't swoon over Sodapop Curtis.
I haven't had a boyfriend for 3 reasons: #1. The gang is crazy overprotective #2. No boy is interested in me or has given me so much as a second glance #3. I've got my eye set on Two-bit Mathews
