Gut Feeling

Moving hastily through the bustling halls lined with inspirational posters suggesting to take part in sporting events or to audition for the upcoming production, she staggered towards the ladies' bathroom ignoring the crowds of people going to class. Muttering to herself under her breath and cursing her mother's name for sending her to school. Can hardly blame her, (y/n)'s attendance wasn't the best anyway. She valued school and her grades but right now all she wanted to do was curl up in a ball and sleep. Stomach in knots, vomit spewed from her mouth into the awaiting abyss of the grimy toilet.
She sighed. Feeling slightly better, a weight lifted off her as her breakfast left her body. Shuffling, she moved to the sink and rinsed her mouth out.
"What do I have now..?" She asked looking at the planner on her phone
                       BIOLOGY AT 9:00
lit up the screen. "Great, (h/n) is probably already in there and now I'm going to be late"
Realisation dawned on her as she looked at her reflection and saw mascara running down both flushed red cheeks and a still soaking quivering lip. Quickly, (y/n) touched up her makeup to look a bit more alive: not so pale and no more eye bags. She dashed to class.

                                -His P.O.V-
(Y/n) trudged in and apologised to the teacher before sitting down. She looked miserable and out of sorts. I wonder what's wrong; she's never usually this late.
"(H/N)! Please keep your eyes at the front" Miss Carter spat with an agitated sigh. I snapped my head to face the board with a mutter of annoyance and opened my notebook. Great start to the day.

"H/N! Please keep your eyes at the front" the shrilling voice of Miss Carter rang through my ears making me wince and my head pound, what was he looking at to get shouted at like that? I glanced at him before grabbing my pen and writing the date on a fresh page.

Time went slowly. Learning about Freud's weird thoughts at 9 am is a gruelling task, never mind when your stomachs doing knots out of hunger and nausea. Reluctantly I carried on writing about the Oedipus Complex and how Freud misinterpreted everything to fit his own psychological issues.

It was finally the end of the class as I gracefully highlighted my last key point. Highlighting is my way of trying to look organised despite the surplus of doodles that helped distract me from the constant urging. I closed my books and gathered my pens before shoving them in my bag and grabbing my coat.

-His P.O.V-
(Y/n) seems rushed, grabbing everything and randomly putting her stuff in her bag, she's usually so put together and neat. Mid way through the lesson she had taken her hair out of her perfectly messy bun and almost used it to hide her face.

She stood up, taking her first step before stumbling and gripping onto the nearest table. Immediately, I got up and manoeuvred myself underneath her back and held her shoulders to help her up. Her face was pale, almost grey and tears welled in her eyes before she tried batting me off of her exclaiming that she's fine. Miss Carter made her way over and asked if she should even be in school right now.
"No, no she shouldn't be" I replied quietly, taking (y/n) by the arm and slinging her bag over my shoulder.

-Your P.O.V
Everything went black for a moment as I tried to save myself by grabbing onto anything nearby before I landed onto a soft pair of legs and hands graced my arms. (H/n) helped me up... this is so embarrassing, why him??? I shrugged my shoulders to release his grip and reassured him that I was fine. Miss Carter came over and said something I couldn't decipher as everything sounded muffled. Next thing I knew I was being swept out of the classroom by my crush.

"(Y/n), hey! What's up with you? You don't look good at all" (h/n) asked worriedly.
"Oh thanks, I thought I looked quite cute today" I teased a d he scoffed giving me a disappointing eye roll"I don't actually know, I've felt like it all day"
"Listen, imma take you home and get you settled" he looked down at me giving me a little squeeze, eyes locked. My legs became weak from a mixture of the nausea and the fact that this was actually happening. With one flawless swoop (h/n) scooped me up in his arms and carried me to his car.

We arrived home after a short car journey where I actually fell asleep. He opened my door for me and offered his hand before I lead him to the front door a s unlocked it.
"You don't need to come in, you've done enough for me already"
He scowled at me before raising his eyebrows and explaining "what if I have to carry you upstairs because your legs go all jelly again hmm?" He smirked at me before gently nudging me in the door and following after.
I went upstairs and laid down trying to get comfortable when (h/n) appeared at my bedroom door with a hot water bottle, a cup of tea and a bowl of soup.
"Why are you still wearing that? We need to get you into some cosy pyjamas and fluffy socks"
He started riffling through my drawers and produced a mismatched pyjama set and an odd pair of bed socks, I could only smile with happiness as I looked at this boy.
I got changed and climbed into bed. Only minutes later I was devouring the soup and sipping my tea while (h/n) was watching TV next to me. A sudden wave of tiredness fell over me and I yawned closing my eyes ever so slightly but not yet asleep.

Her eyelids slowly closed as she gripped onto the hot water bottle. She was so cute and she didn't even have to try. I shuffled in behind her and placed my arms round her waist holding the hot water bottle on place. She was so peaceful

I felt his body move behind me and an arm wrap me up as he spooned me. He probably thought I was asleep but I'm so glad I wasn't. Shortly afterwards I drifted off into a blissful sleep, not feeling the sickness anymore at all. He had fixed me and I loved him for it
