Both Banner and Stark were already beginning to work on the scepter when I finally walked in, glaring at Stark as I bypassed him and moved towards Banner. "Where did you learn all that?" Banner questions me and I shrug before Stark coughs.
"She learned it from me." Stark interjects, but Banner doesn't believe him.
"I majored in astrophysiology and thermonuclear weaponry in college. Along with some other things."
"Then how did you end up working for him?" Banner states, referring to Stark, who was too occupied at the moment to care.
"Not a lot of business opportunities in Manhattan. That and I thought he was smart."
"I'm touched." Stark replied dryly.
"I was wrong, obviously. If I had known about you, I would've worked for you instead."
"No, that would not have been a good idea. Now, if you excuse me..." Banner picks up a strange looking gamma ray reader. Banner scanned the device over Loki's scepter. "The gamma rays are definitely consistent with Selvig's reports on the Tessarect. But it's going to take weeks to process." Banner proclaims.
Tony was looking through the structure of the S.H.I.E.L.D. computers that were available to both him and Banner. "If we bypass their mainframe and route directly to the Homer cluster, we can clock this at around six hundred teraflops." He proclaimed.
"All I packed was a toothbrush." Banner joked, just chuckling as he did his work. I was just sitting on a lab table as they worked.
"You know, you should come by Stark Tower sometime. Top ten floors, all R &D. You'd love it."
"Thanks, but the last time I was in New York, I kind of... broke Harlem."
"Well, I promise a stress-free environment. No tension, no surprises..." As he spoke, Tony walked behind Banner and gave him a little zap with an electrical instrument. I quickly stood up and backed away.
"What do you think you're doing?!" I cry out, not sure if Banner would turn into the Hulk.
"Ow!" Banner yelped.
Tony looked into Banner's eyes, looking for some kind of reaction. "Nothing?"
"Are you nuts?" I yelled and noticed that someone else joined in. I glanced at Cap as he came in in his uniform.
Tony began joking again. "Jury's out." He then looked back at Banner. "You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz, bongo drums....?"
"Is everything a joke to you?" Steve questioned. I grabbed the electrical instrument from Tony just so he wouldn't stab Banner again.
"Funny things are." Tony proclaimed.
"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny. No offense, Doc."
"It's all right. I wouldn't have come on board if I couldn't handle pointy things and little surprises."
Tony just shakes his head. "You're tiptoeing, big man. You need to strut."
"And you need to focus on the problem, Mr. Stark." Cap commanded.
"Do you think I'm not?" Tony questioned. "Why did Fury call us in? Why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables."

Action"What does it take to be really good at this?" I whisper, looking up at him as our hands touched. He coughed and looked at the weapon in our hands. "It doesn't take much. Just practice. That and some accuracy and precision." "Accuracy and precision...
