006 { •The Beach }

Max sat outside banging on the door, "Hello? Hello? guys, come on. can i come in yet?"

"no!" Mike yelled back.

"i don't understand," Lucas said to the boys around the table.

"what do you not understand?"

"okay so, Will saw something that looked like Dart last year?" Lucas asked.

"yes, kinda, but there was no tail." Will explained.

"but then he heard it yesterday, the exact same sound!" Mike said.

"try and tell me that's a coincidence!" Gorty said.

Dustin rolled his eyes, "why didn't you tell us before?"

"i'm sorry i just wasn't sure," Will replied.

"it's just a coincidence," Dustin said.

"it's not!" Gorty demeaned.

"what if when Will was stuck in the Upside Down, he somehow acquired True Sight?"

"True Sight?" Lucas asked, not knowing about True Sight.

"it gives you the power to see into the ethereal plane." Dustin explained.

"elaborate," Lucas said. still confused.

"well, maybe these episodes that Will keeps having aren't really flashbacks at all. maybe they're real. maybe Will can somehow see into the Upside Down." Mike explained.

"so that would mean..."

"Dart is from the Upside Down." Gorty finished.

"okay, we have to take him to Hopper." Lucas said.

"i agree." Mike said.

"that's the only option that makes sense." Gorty agreed as well.

"no, no way. if we take him to Hopper, Dart's good as dead." Dustin interjected.

"maybe he should be dead."

"how could you say that?"

"how could you not? he's from the Upside Down!" Mike demanded.

"maybe he is, and so what?" Dustin said.

"yeah, Mike. just because he's form the Upside Down doesn't mean he's bad." Gorty offered.

Mike shot him a knowing look and rolled his eyes.

"that's like saying just because someone's from the Death Star doesn't make them bad." Mike deadpanned.

"but we have a bond." Dustin whined.

"a bond? just because he likes nougat?"

"no, because he trusts me!"

"he trusts you?" Lucas asked

"yes, i promised i would take care of him." Dustin explained.

"Jesus, everybody please calm down. we won't come to an agreement by yelling at each other. i think the only real option we have should be to take him to Hopper. we can't handle something like this on our own." Gorty said.

just then, Dart started screeching from inside the trap.

Max banger on the door once more, "guys, what's going on? come on," she said.

she reached into her backpack grabbing a paper clip, and got to work picking the lock.

the trap fell over on its side.

Mike grabbed the AV Club microphone to have at the ready in case Dart gets dangerous.

"don't hurt him!" Dustin yelled.
