You or them

You or them.

It's been a week since the startling drop off of our fellow potential. His name was Levi. He would have been 15 at midnight. Levi and his brother had been picked up in the middle of a game of larger than life. The game where you battled a person on who had the larger imagination. Whoever thought of the wildest thing won. According to his older brother Leo that was the last time they spoke a word to one another.

"Sunshine. You sure are memorizing when you are deep in thought." My half irritating and half amusing roommate whispered in my ear.

"What did I tell you about that Trix?" I swatted his hands away as they tried to grab mine.

"When you tell me not to do something it makes me want to do it more." He admitted.

"I have to say I like you much better without you constantly hitting on me." I pressed my palm against the screen of the bookcase than writing out the name, author, and year of my book I want to return. I found out after a few days on the cruise their library was one of the only rooms up to date other than the dining hall.

"I don't see what's not to like about being showered with compliments." He sighed and watched me closely as I slid through the book selection they have.

"I'm sure anybody else on the ship would love the kind of attention you are offering. I think there are other things we need to worry about." I was subconsciously still thinking of Levi. I try not to. Maybe I'll stop by Leo's room later and offer my condolences again. No, I've already done that 3 times this week.

"I don't want anybody else on the ship. I only want the fiery redhead standing in front of me" He lowered his face next to mine smirking. His nose ring glittered in the light.

"Maybe I'd want you if you laid off the cheese" I smiled. Scrunching my face together.

"Joy!!!" I heard someone call from behind me. I turn my head slightly to see Mr. Oaks. I knew it was only a matter of time before him or Captain Krunch made another appearance it has been suspiciously quiet.

"Good Evening. Mr.Oaks. What could I do for you today?" I addressed him formally.

"Tonight all potentials are requested to dine in the dining room. It's a very special night." His eyes went from me to Trix.

"Trix." He said eyeing him dully.

"What's up Mr.O?" Trix threw his fist out scaring both of us.

"Are you trying to hit me?" Mr.Oaks said through his clenched jaw.

"What? No! I was going for a fist bump" He pulled his hand back to his side abandoning the idea. "Just forget it."

"Please make sure he wears something more... Appropriate for tonight. Maybe something from this decade would suffice." Mr. Oak crossed his arms over his chest leaving us.

I eyed Trix. Up and down. Now that Mr.Oaks mentions it. I've never seen Trix in anything other than a tee or some form of leather.

"I don't like anything from this decade. Im not going to wear what I don't like because he said so" He said hotly.

I grabbed his sleeve and dragged him back to our room abandoning the idea of a book for now.

Somehow everyone's wardrobes had been dropped off in boxes after the...drop off. I've learned not to question the strange inner workings of the cruise though.

"Girl clothes look funny but they are super comfortable." He did some arm circles in the electric blue suit. It had extra features such as heat and AC. You see he ended up wearing something he didn't like because I said so. Never ever under estimate the power of a woman.
