Chapter 12

Mani's P.O.V

"Jeez baby, you're gaining some weight" She said smiling with humor while lifting Bella from bed, who's been smiling from ear to ear since the moment Lauren got here. I can already see who of us will spoil her.

I watch them both from the door as Lauren begins to collect Bella's things in a bag. Today our baby girl turns four months and so Lauren decided to take her to the park with Sam because for the first time in weeks is a sunny day. Rare but possible apparently.

"Are you sure you don't want to go with us Mani?" Sam asked me once he got out of the bathroom.

I looked at Lauren again but she ignores Sam's question and keeps playing with Bella while putting things into the bag. I know somehow she doesn't want me to go. And it bothers me alot.

Since our talk a few weeks ago, that didn't go anywhere by the way, she's been practically pretending like I do not exist. I've even redone our conversation over and over again to know if maybe I said something that bothered her but nothing comes out of my mouth. I've tried to ask her why is she acting like that towards me but she always say that everything is fine diminishing the subject.

It's not though, is not fine, because I don't ever remember her being so distant with me. And it hurts.

"Yeah I'm sure, I'll have lunch with Ash anyway" I lied.

Sam looks over at me with narrowing eyes, guess he didn't buy what I said.

"Alright, ready to go and have fun?" Lauren asks to our daughter ignoring us again before turning around with Isabella in her arms and a bag on her shoulder. "We'll be back around 5, I think" She added briefly looking into my eyes.

Well at least she looked at me, that's good right?

I just don't get her behavior sometimes. Just weeks ago she was asking for my forgiveness and now she isn't paying me any attention. Damn unpredictable and sexy woman.

"Okay" I nod before walking towards them kissing Bella's cheek "Be a good girl with your mani and Sam" Bella smiles showing her cute dimples. The same cute dimples Lauren has.

"Come on Normani, go with us, it'll be fun" Sam insists but I quickly shake my head.

"It's fine Sam, she can't" Lauren answered for me before making her way towards the door. How nice of her.

We both followed her and Sam gives me a knowing smile before shrugging, he must know we're not in the best of terms right now.

"See you later" Lauren said over her shoulder without even looking my way while opening the main door and walking out.

Well I asked for some space after all, didn't I?

"Bye Mani" Sam says before closing the door behind him.

"Fuck" I bite my lip to not sound so loud, but is not like I can keep quiet either, I just can't with all the things she makes me feel.

Her hands carefully rubbed my sides as her talented lips keeps kissing my neck on that right spot.

Is something else better than this feeling? Is someone else better than her, in any damn way? Because I really don't think so.
