Chapter 5: Reunion with A Maiden

"So... They plan on killing a nun because she possess a Sacred Gear that heals, huh?" Issei was walking down the street in his own thoughts. Kalawarner and the other two are back at the house as he was busy with school. 

He was snapped back to reality after hearing a girl's voice. 

"Oh, it looks like I fell down again. I'm such a klutz." She got up as her eyes met Issei's. He helped her up.

"It's been a while hasn't it?" He said, catching her shroud from being blown away.

"Issei!" She jumped into his arms happily to see her friend once again. "It's great to see you again. How have you been?"

"I've been fine. But what were you doing, Asia?" Issei asked.

"I was looking for the church and got lost. Could you help me?" She asked.

"Sure, but there's something you must know." 

He went on to explain what was about to happen. How a rogue group of Fallen Angels and Exorcists were planning to kill her and take her Sacred Gear being the ring on her finger.

"Oh god." She was horrified to hear of this. 

After some discussion, Issei thought it would be best for her to stay under the protection of the Angels, but Asia wanted to stay with him since she trusted him right now. Raynare and the others agreed to protect her and informed Azazel about the group.

"I'm curious, but how do you know Issei anyway?" Mittlet asked, curious about their relationship.

"I was abandoned by my mother when I was a baby. The church found me and raised me ever since. Sometime during my childhood I somehow gained the ability to heal others such became known as the Holy Priestess. Everyone said it was a blessing from Heaven. That God saw something truly special inside me. It was during the time that I discovered a demon injured inside the corridor. He begged for help and I was going to help him when Issei came in and drove the demon away. The church discovered that the demon planed to trick me into healing him. To this day, I still owe Issei for saving me from such a fate." Asia said.

The Fallen Angels were quite shocked by such a story.

Issei got a call about some stray demon luring people into an abandoned warehouse. He enters to find it empty besides the piles of human corpses and blood. 

"A reincarnated demon that abandoned her master, eh?" Issei stopped as the stray revealed herself behind the columns. A woman with the upper body of a human and lower body of a beast. 

"Oh my~, you're quite handsome aren't you?" 

"Sorry, but I'm already taken." Issei said.

"Then why are you here? An affair isn't nice, in fact its quite devilish." She licked her lips seductively. "It's fine with me though, I find affairs quite hot, so why don't you play with me instead of that bitch you call a girl."

Issei was ticked off and aimed his gun. "Don't call her a bitch."

"Oh? But my boobs are much bigger, so play with these instead of hers. I promise to keep my mouth shut." She then started to play with them in a futile attempt to seduce him. 

"Yeah. Not going to happen." 

A fight commenced with Issei coming up on top. That was when the stray realized who she was trying to seduce.

"You're the Devil Hunter?!"

"Look, I don't want to kill you, so either surrender or else." 

"I-I surrender, just please don't hurt me. I'm sorry, but I didn't have a choice." She said with a weak and slightly slurred tone.

"Choice?"

"My master abused me and did horrible things to me. He killed someone who I fell in love with. So I ran and started eating people because I was hungry." She explains.

"That son of a bitch." Issei put his gun away and gave a magical item which healed her wounds. She stared at him like he was an idiot, but was told the reason why.

"I'm going after that son of a bitch."

The stray known as Viser told him where her master lived and so he entered the room. Sitting in a chair by the fireplace was a man in his early 20's.

"Ah! The legendary Devil Hunter himself. I suppose you finished the job?"

"I did." Issei said.

"Excellent! The reward money is right he-"

Issei shot the man in the head then took the money. After that he had to deal with a psychopathic priest, who was after Asia and kicked his ass. The rogue group were caught and arrested and everything went well for now.
