Shortly after the party ends, Adam returns home. He wears a stressed look, and it only grows worse at the large mess of cups and alcohol bottles. He doesn't say anything though, and just pours himself a glass of bourbon.
"There's two of them, at least," Estella speaks up from her spot in front of the fireplace. She's curled up on the floor, a blanket wrapped around her. "But who knows? There's probably an entire pack here."
"Werewolves aren't our biggest problem," he reveals, sitting on the floor beside her. "Hunters are."
"And? We've dealt with them before," she shrugs, her eyebrows knitting together. "We'll just do what we used to. Kill them and get rid of the bodies."
"It's not going to be that easy. They're Argents," he continues on, letting his shoulders drop. "I saw them in the woods when I was hunting. They were going after something else."
"They didn't see you, right?" The Salvatore asks for clarification, carefully watching her friend. He shakes his head, relieving her of her fear. "That's great. They have no idea we're here. As long as we steer clear, we'll be good."
"Not exactly," Adam shakes his head. "The youngest one is in our class. She's the new girl. It's not too long before she makes the connection."
"That's perfect," she sarcastically mutters, gulping down the rest of her drink. "I mean, let's add that onto our list. By the way, the werewolves? One of them is in our class, too. Scott McCall, that ring a bell?"
"Unfortunately," he murmurs with the roll of his eyes. They can only imagine how big the problem will be, mixing two types of supernatural creatures in the same area as hunters. It will end in death. "And the other?"
"I don't know who he is," Estella truthfully replies. "I've never seen him before, but he's definitely not in high school."
