Riders P.O.V

That girl inkling was super annoying, she was cheering with the enemy about the battle, I mean who does that?!
"H-hey Rider...."
"WHAT?"
It's Gloves.
"What you said to (y/n) was mean, she is very upset."
"(Y/n)? Is that that annoying (I/c) inkling?"
"Yah... but she is not annoying! And she is now super sad and upset! No one has ever said something like that to her."
"Well give me an award, cuz I'm the first."
"RIDER!"
"What?"
"Go say your sorry."
"Nope never in a million years. She reminds me of Goggles and he was- h-"
I choke on my words, Goggles died, he was thrown off a cliff by an octoling, and I saw everything. Goggles was the only inkling who went out of his way to talk to me, like he was my- my- FRIEND.
"O-oh sorry Rider... I forgot about Goggles."
After Goggles died I never liked anyone, not even Gloves or Specs or Headphones, or anyone actually. I look up and see Gloves walking away from me and towards the door, he leaves and I hear him talking to a girl.
"Sorry (y/n), he won't budge."
"Why not?"
"Goggl-"
Gloves cuts himself off.
"Who?"
"N-no one."
"Tell me! If I don't know who or what the problem is, I can't help him!"
Wait, she wants to help me? Only Goggles has done that for me.
"A boy named Goggles, he died and he was Riders only close good friend... you moved here after he died that's why you never met him, you just remind everyone of him, your cheerfulness, kindness, how you pulled down my pants in a turf war... pretty much everything about you is like a girl version of Goggles, and that brings to many painful memories back to Rider, it's not you... it's him."
"No... its me... I'm hurting him without knowing."
"NO YOUR NOT (Y/N)! Come on let's go play turf war."
"*snif* o-okay."
They walk away.
Wow that was deep...
Someone interrupts my thoughts.
"Rider?"
"WHO IS IT NOW?!"
"It's Sarah."
"Oh hey Sarah."
Sarah is my older sister, she can be mean but can give good info.
"Are you okay? You look sadder and more depressed than usual."
"YUP IM FINE!"
I quickly get up and walk away as fast as I can before it becomes obvious I'm hiding something. I pull out my phone and call Goggles old number, I know it's weird but it makes me feel better to hear his voice... on the answering machine.
"Hello! You have reached my phone! If you are wondering where I am, I am probably doing something with Rider, my team, the s4, or all at once! Anyway leave a message after the beep so I can get back to you soon!!"
I put my phone down, am I being weird? Or creepy? I don't know, I just miss him I guess.
Will (y/n) help me with my loss of Goggles? Or will she make it worse? Should I go ask her for help, or hang out with her? Will it distract me? I don't know, she reminds me too much of him, but could she replace him or help me get over him? I don't know!
I walk to the door.
"Here goes nothing..."
