Reiyo awoke in a cold sweat, the same images flashing through his mind. It was still hard for him to cope with Aaron being gone, even after five years. And it was even harder for him to cope with the added stress of the same nightmare he'd been getting lately.

They weren't nightmares, not really. They were more so amalgamated version of his memories, twisted in such a way that he felt nothing but despair when reliving them. Most of the memories in his nightmare were of his brother, and a couple of them were memories of his mother.

Reiyo's mother was a touchy subject for him at this point in time. After Aaron's death, he had tried his best to comfort his mother and be there for her, but doing that only kindled the fire of hatred. She needed someone to blame for her firstborn son's death, and sadly, she took it out on Reiyo. She eventually didn't even want to have to look Reiyo in the eye anymore. That's when she turned custody of Reiyo over to his father, Sage Sonarhc.

Sage was a bit abusive, to say the least....

     Or maybe.... very abusive....

But Reiyo was able to handle it. Reiyo was able to take whatever his father threw at him and live his life. He was able to survive for almost nearly five years at this point, and things were only looking up; him and his father had been getting along better recently.

Reiyo decided to stop running through the memories, so he turned on the light in his bedroom and looked around. He first noticed how cluttered his white wooden desk was, so he made a mental note to clean it up later on.

His turned his head towards his window, and he realized that he could see light outside, light brighter than the single bulb he had attached to his ceiling fan. The light was kind of eerie, but he just chose to ignore it.

He reached off to the side towards his nightstand to grab the bottle of water which was usually sitting there, but his hand came back empty.

Sighing, he decided to turn his bedroom light off and lie back down, however it would be a couple of hours before he finally fell asleep....
