"I told the guy I wasn't going to have a thing with him and then I end up making out with him on his dresser."

"Well making out doesn't have to mean you have a thing going on... and so what if you did start to have a thing?" Josie said into her phone.

"He's eight years older than me! Plus, I'm still not sure I believe everything he's told me." Piper said.

"Who cares if he's older? Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are eleven years apart."

"Yeah, but..." Piper started but was cut off by Josie.

"What's with you? You're not yourself. If Normal Piper was unsure about him, she would have put him in his place by now." Josie said.

"Well, I did tell him to end his 'open relationship' last night..."

"Did he?"

"He said he did."

"See? There's the 'get shit done' Piper I know." Josie said, clearly smiling on the other side of the phone.

"I don't know what's wrong with me... I feel stupid and weak for beleiving that he actually wants me here for a good reason."

"Piper, you are not stupid. Or weak. Who decked Mike in the face for cheating on me while I was in the corner crying my eyes out? I think that was you. Trust me dude, I WISH I had your strength and courage. The way you can see straight through people is a talent I wish I had. You went with your gut and chose to stay with Tyler. You're gut of all guts is never wrong. Plus, from what I can recall from when Mike and I were together, Tyler never had girls stay at his house for more than a few days. Especially not ones he hasn't slept with yet..." Josie said.

"Well maybe thats why he wants me here. So he can try and get me in bed and then be able to say he slept with me."

"Why would he put in effort and end a relationship for you if he only wanted sex? If he just wanted sex, he could have it with someone else and not bother having you around." Josie said.

Piper thought about the previous night. The making out was great and all, but what was even better was staying up for most of the night talking and learning more about each other. She felt like they were connected. That scared her. Piper always let her fears get the best of her.

"Maybe because I have gold medals and VS angel wings..." Piper started.

"Stop with that. Not everyone's like Jack. You have to trust again at some point." Josie said. Piper cringed from hearing Jack's name. He was the one who had ruined her trust.

"Jack's long gone and far away. You don't have to trust Tyler right now, but give him a fighting chance. I promise he's not that bad of a guy." Josie said softly.

"Not that bad huh?" Piper said smiling a little.

"Try Pipes. Promise?"

"Promise."

A few hours after Piper's phone call with Josie, Piper decided to make something to eat. Tyler had left early that morning to go train so she figured he would be hungry when he got back. She dug through Tyler's kitchen to see what he had. All she could find was some pasta.

"Your dad doesn't seem to have much else so, pasta it is." Piper said to Marshall who was seated at her feet, per usual. As she cooked, Marshall followed her around the kitchen. Piper had never had a dog be so attached to her in her life.

About a half and hour later, Piper heard the door to the garage open. Tyler walked into the house in his gym attire, greeting the dogs. It didn't take him long to place himself behind Piper, who was washing dishes in the sink. Piper felt his large hands on her waist and his soft lips on her cheek. She smiled and titled her head to give him more access to her exposed skin. He grinned into her neck.

"Why are you washing dishes?" He asked.

"I made food, so i'm cleaning up the mess." Piper said. Tyler looked around until he saw the pasta on the stove.

"You didn't have to do that..." He said smiling at her.

"I didn't do it for you... I was hungry." Piper said walking away from him with an evil grin. He smirked as he watched her sit on a bar stool at the counter, checking her phone.

"I see." He said, making his way towards her and leaning on the counter.

"I mean, I made enough for two but I'm not sure you deserve it." Piper said casually. Tyler smiled down at her and nodded.

"So what do I have to do to deserve it?" Tyler said, turning around and resting his elbows and forearms on the counter so his face was closer to hers. Piper thought back to what Josie had said earlier.

"Who cares if he's older?"

"He's not that bad..."

Piper turned to face Tyler. He smiled and raised his eyebrows as if to ask her what she was going to do. She grinned and closed the gap between them, attaching their lips. Tyler smiled against her lips and Piper did too.

This was quite possibly the biggest risk Piper had ever taken. What would people say? What would people think? What would her mother say and think if she ever found out?

Piper shoved the thoughts aside and kissed Tyler with need. She had two months.

Two months with Tyler.

Two months without responsiblities.

The first two months of her life where she was not going to live in fear of what might happen.
