(Reader x Boyfriend!Castiel)

Imagine: Having a bad dream, and Cas wakes you up to comfort you.

You walked through the bunker door and headed down the stairs. You had went on a quick run to the store to get more beer. 

"I'm back." You called as you but the beer in the fridge. "Dean? Sam? Cas?" 

No answer. It was only 7:30, so you knew they weren't in bed. "Boys?"

A pit began to form in your stomach. Something wasn't right. You pulled your gun from your waistband and positioned it in front of you. You walked quietly through the halls, checking every room. 

You came around the corner and saw Sam and Dean lying on the ground. Dead. 

"Oh, God." You said as you rushed towards them and landed on your knees beside them. "No, no. This can't happen. What happened?" 

"That would be my fault." Someone said behind you. 

You quickly reached for you gun that you had dropped to the floor. You whipped around with it aimed at whoever had just spoken. 

"Lucifer?" You asked confused as tears stained your face. He raised his hands midway in defense, a small smile formed across his face. 

"Guity as charged," He chuckled. 

"Why?" You asked, looking around for your boyfriend. "Where is Castiel?"

"They threw me in the cage. I had to kill them so that it wouldn't again." He said as he lowered his hands and started to walk around. He got closer to you before he snapped his fingers. A badly beaten Castiel barely stood in front of you, he swayed as he tried to keep his balance. 

"Cas!" You yelled as you rushed towards him.

"I'm sorry I have to do this, but I just don't have a choice," Lucifer said as he laughed. 

"You stay away from him, you son of a bitch!" You said as you stepped in front of Castiel. 

"Y/n, don't. Run! He's going to kill you." Cas said as he tried to place a hand on your arm to pull you away. 

You turned back around to face Lucifer, only to discover he wasn't standing there. You quickly whipped back around, finding Lucifer behind Castiel this time. 

"Bye, bye," Lucifer said as he sent an angel blade through Castiel's heart. 

"No!" You shouted as you watched Cas fall to the floor. 

You dropped to your knees and held his head in your hands as you watch the life fade from his eyes. 

"Cas, don't go. Please." You said as tears flowed down your cheeks.

"Y/n, wake up!" You heard Cas say as he shook your arms. "Wake up."

You jolted forward and raised up from where you laid. You could feel the tears that had dried on your face. 

"It was just a bad dream, your okay." He said as he placed your head on his chest. 

"He killed you, he killed all of you!" You said as you felt more tears building.

"Shhhh. We are all okay, everyone's fine." He said stroking your hair. 

"You were beaten, and Lucifer stabbed you through the heart." You continued. 

"Look at me." He said moving your face where you could look into his eyes. "I'm not dead." A few seconds later Sam and Dean came running through the door. 

"Is everything okay in here?" Sam asked as he rubbed his eyes. 

"Everything's fine. Y/n just had a nightmare, it's fine." Cas said pulled you back in for a hug. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." You said, beginning to calm down. 

"Don't apologize, we just wanted to check on you," Dean said as he turned to go back to his room, Sam following behind him.

"Are you okay?" Cas said, looking down at you again. 

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm sorry, it just felt so real." You said quietly. 

"Shhh. Let's lay back down." He said as he wrapped his arms around you. 

"Thank you, Cas." You said once you both got situated. 

"Anytime, Y/n. I love you." He said. 

"I love you, too."
