Imagine: Leaving the boys to save their lives

You and the two brothers were working on a case. It involved demonic killings, and you guys wanted to check it out. You all got settled into the cheap motel that was nearby and started doing research. You were trying to find out where the demons were located so that you could take them out. It started to get late and both of the boys had already fallen asleep.

The next day you woke up to the smell of bacon and coffee. You breathed in the delicious scent as you rose from your bed.

"Morning, Sunshine," Dean said as he noticed you were awake.

"Yea, yea." You said as you walked over and made yourself a cup of coffee.

"We leave in 15 to check out the crime scene. The local P.D. said they found something odd there." Dean said as he parted for the bathroom to get dressed.

You grabbed your duffel from under your bed and pulled out your FBI uniform. It was a simple black dress and heels. You slipped it on, and Dean came out moments later. You went into the bathroom and did your hair into a simple bun, and applied a little makeup. Sam quickly dressed and you all got into the Impala.

A few minutes later and you arrived at the scene. It was a simple one-story house, with nice flowers out front. This latest victim had been a married mother of two children. Your heart ached for the family. You showed the police your badge as you slipped inside the front door. Blood was spilled onto the wall and a puddle on the floor. You turned to the sheriff who was holding an evidence bag with what looked like a piece of paper inside.

"Where was this found?" You asked as you held out your hand.

"Besides the victim. They wrote the message in blood." He said as he placed the bag in your hand.

You opened the bag and looked at the piece of paper.

Your next, Y/n. -Crowley

You sucked in a breath, knowing he wanted to pawn you for the demon tablet.

"Thank you. I'll tell my partners what it said." You lied as you handed the bag back to him and walked toward the brothers.

"Well?" Dean asked.

"Just a taunt about how they couldn't be caught. Sulfur on the note.  It's definitely demons." You said as you walked out of the house. The brothers followed you out, and you all went back to the hotel. You knew you had to do something to keep the demons away from Sam and Dean.

You three arrived at the hotel and tried to look for more demonic omens to give you a sign of where they were located. Soon, the boys wanted to take a break and head to the bar for a couple of drinks.

"You wanna come?" Dean asked again as he slipped on his coat.

"I'm good, have fun." You gave a soft smile before they turned and walked out the door.

The boys wouldn't be back from the bar for a couple of hours, this was the perfect opportunity and would give you a good head start. You grabbed your duffel bag and started to pack your things up. If you weren't with the Winchesters, the demons wouldn't know where to look for you. It kept the boys and the tablet safe, and they couldn't afford to lose the tablet since it was the only thing you could hold over Crowley's head.

You grabbed your bag, wrote the brothers a little note telling them you were safe, and then locked the door behind you. You stole a car from the parking lot, and soon it was just you on the open road. You looked back in your review mirror to see the motel was only a speck in the distance. The farther away from the brothers you were, the better.

A tear slipped down your cheek. You didn't know how long you would have to be away from Sam and Dean, or if you would ever see them again. You wiped the tear quickly, knowing this was the only way to keep everyone safe. You didn't have a choice.
