There was a quote that you had come across on a blog site that read: "The best part about being alone is that you really don't have to answer to anybody. You do what you want."

Those relatable words were said by Justin Timberlake, and ever since reading it, you've ingrained every word in your mind.

Not only was it the start of a new weekend, but it was also the start of a new month—another thirty-one days of pure loneliness.

When your mother first took off to Paris, you were jealous, angry, and scared.

Over time, however, you took it like a vacation of your own.

Being alone provided you with the benefits of not having to wash so many dishes.

Despite your mother telling you to text her when Jin or Jungkook were over, you never did. Instead, you had let them into your house as if they were family—Ara, too.

Rules upon rules, you had broken so many the minute she left, yet you didn't care.

In all honesty, life was less stressful, and you enjoyed the independence.

It was a "treat yourself" kind of Saturday.

You woke up, ate, and relaxed on the living room couch while stuffing your face with whatever snacks you had available.

When the day turned to night, you decided to treat yourself with extra care.

You had always seen those "aesthetically pleasing" pictures of bubble baths on social media. For you, a nice shower was enough; however, being surrounded by a plethora of bubbles seemed like a luxury you just had to experience.

After binge-watching a new series that Ara begged you to see, you climbed upstairs and into your room.

You waltzed over to your dresser and pulled out your pajamas before striding into the bathroom, putting your pajama set on the sink and going towards the faucet.

As the tub with filled with water, you poured in a large amount of liquid soap. Once the water neared to the top, the bubbles reached their biggest form.

Before easing into the tub, you flipped the lights off, lit almost every candle you could find in your house, and placed them by the tub. While with your phone, you had music softly playing beside you.

There was a dull glow that emitted throughout, and you were soon at peace. You closed your eyes and let the vanilla scent waft in your face as your mind transported you elsewhere.

Your muscles felt relaxed, and every slight ache vanished.

If only it were like this everyday, you'd be living in paradise. Unfortunately, moving into Nighcliff stole that away from you, and to live a life that was stress-free was so far away.

Especially for this wild ride you had now stepped foot upon, you had to hold on tight. There was no time for relaxation.

After listening to a few songs, a couple of ads began to play. You had no thought as to skip them since you were too lazy to move. You just let them play, allowing the voice actress to advertise you on a shoe sale.

Her quick voice came to an abrupt stop, however. It cut off, and you furrowed your brows with your eyes still closed, wondering what had happened.

You thought it was the WiFi connection, but it wasn't.

An unknown phenomenon had blew the flames out of every candle, except for one—a smoky, lavender scent filling your lungs—and you noticed the room get darker even with your closed eyes.
