Chelz's P.O.V:

I was lying on my side on my bed, looking at a framed picture of my father and I. I sighed, and had a flashback.

Flashback, 2 years ago:

"Mum, when's dad coming back?" I asked my mother after the police had left our house. She looked down at me, tears streaming down her face.

"Sweetie, go and get your sister, would you? I need to tell you both something." I went upstairs to get my sister from her room. She followed me back downstairs, and we sat on the couch with our mum inbetween us.

"Girls, there's... Some bad news." she began. I remembered my stomach feeling like it had knots in it. "Your dad... Well... He's... The police found him in a deserted alleyway. He wasn't breathing. I'm so sorry girls, but, your father's dead." As soon as I heard those dreadful words, I felt all the colour drain from my face, and I jumped into my mum's arms. I felt her arms wrap around me and my sister. We all sat there for a while, until my mum told us to go and get cleaned up and get ready for dinner. Me and my sister nodded and walked upstairs together in silence. I couldn't believe it! My dad... He was a sweet, caring, kind person who helped anyone and everyone that needed help. Who would do such a thing?! I walked into my room, shut my door and collapsed onto my bed. I curled up into a ball and started crying again. That's how I stayed for days. I refused to leave my room, I refused to eat, I even refused to go to school. My mum could tell how much this effected me, and gave me as much privacy as I needed.

*Knock, Knock*

Someone knocked on my door.

"Come in." I called out. My mum walked in and sat on the end of my bed.

"Chelz." she began softly. "How are you doing?"

"I'm alright, how are you mum?" I saw the tears in her eyes.

"I've been better. Are you going to go back to school soon?" I nodded.

"Yes. Can I go back tomorrow?'" She nodded.

"Why don't you come downstairs and eat something? I made strawberry pancakes, your favourites." I smiled. She always knew how to cheer me up when I needed it most. I nodded slowly. She smiled at me. "Good girl. Come one." She helped me up and walked with me downstairs. Cher was already down, eating. She looked up when we came in and smiled. She ran up and engulfed me in a hug. After we'd finished hugging, we sat down at the table and dug in. I looked at Cher and mum. Something inside me told that everything would be okay.

Present Day:

I smiled at the memory and wiped my tears away. That instinct was right, it was okay after that. I had gone back to school the next day and my friends were there to comfort me every second of the day. My sister had told all of them what had happened.

"Cher, Chelz! Would you come down here please?" mum called from the kitchen. I pushed myself of my bed, carefully put the picture frame back and walked back downstairs. When I got down there, my mum and Cher were already sitting down at the kitchen table. My mum looked excited, but my sister looked really confused. I made my way over to them and sat down.

"What's going on?" I asked. My sister nodded.

"Well... We are moving... To L.A in California, America!" my mum exclaimed. My sister and I looked at each other in shock, and then back to our mum to see if she was joking. She was 100% serious.
