It was two days before Parker left Isaac's house. They slept in the same bed but they did not sleep together again in that time. Ella had called once or twice, but they just explained they were just tired and wanted to be alone for a bit. They thought they had pushed Ella away, but she began to become suspicious.
Jae-Eun also called and asked Isaac if he needed her. It was at this point that Isaac decided to say he was doing some self-care alone, which Jae had been trying to get him to do for years, and she was so excited she said she's leave him alone for as long as he needed.
James didn't call either of them. He was having trouble wrapping his head around the situation. He was a big advocate for friendship, but he was well aware of how difficult it can be to figure out you're gay when you thought you were straight.
Not that Isaac had figured out he was gay. He was. Both he and Parker would figure it out eventually. Gay. Big gay. Parker had mostly figured it out and was just trying to convince himself he was bisexual. He was not. Ella was bisexual, something she had struggled with as well, but Parker was not. He did realize by the end of the two days that he couldn't quit Isaac. It took two days to know he is what he was looking for his entire life. Isaac had not quite put that all together yet. He did understand that he didn't want Parker to leave. Isaac wished to be completely enveloped in Parker's arms for the rest of his life.
Parker had an audition that would have changed his life should he get it. Isaac also had an audition the next day. It was for the same show, but they didn't know that.
" Are you sure you have to go?" Isaac asked with his head on Parker's lap. Parker smiled. He had never expected him to be this happy to be with someone especially when he didn't know them that well.
"You'll just have to go tomorrow. Neither of us have had a moment alone,"
"You wanted to be alone?" Isaac asked slightly confused.
"No, but it's good for people to have alone time," He explained. All they had been doing was being near each other and lounging all over the place, but nothing else. They were not talking about it. Neither had figured out quite what they wanted it to be. Isaac was having a hard time figuring out that he wanted it at all. They parted awkwardly.
"Ok, bye," Parker stood at the door facing Isaac.
"Bye," Isaac responded letting go of Parker's arm. They stood awkwardly in the doorway until it opened by itself.
"Isaaaaaah!" Ella screamed, "Oh it's just you. See Isaac, I new you'd be great friends,"
"Yeah, great friends," Parker replied with no particular inclination in his voice.
"I was wondering if you were done with your whole, needing time alone thing and clearly you are since Parker is here so early. What are you doing so early?"
"I brought him coffee," Parker responded and left.
"But there isn't any coffee!" Ella yelled out the door as Parker walked away.
"We drank it, duh." And got into his car and drove off. Isaac watched him leave, never turning away until he was around the corner. Ella was facing Parker, but she was not watching him. Her eyes were focused to her right at her good lying friend who she was becoming more and more suspect with.
"Isaac," she spoke snapping him out of whatever trance he had fallen into.
"Yes!" He shouted.
"Let's go get coffee," She asked. He nodded and started out the door before stopping suddenly.
"I just had coffee," he remembered the lie, "Let's get breakfast," he decided and left. Ella smiled at his slip, but said nothing. She was determined to figure it out.
