Alyssa walked down the hallway, her sneakers making little noise over the chatter of the other students. She cautiously made her way through the hoards of people.
She slowly came to a stop behind someone. Quietly she placed her hands over his eyes. "Guess who."
"Al, I know it's you." Her friend smiled as he pried her hands off his eyes.
"You're no fun sometimes Mason." She pouted slightly as he smiled. He handed her a red sucker as she took it slowly, as if he was going to snatch it away.
"What's this for?" Alyssa looked at it skeptically as she unwrapped it.
"Well. You remember Liam, right?" Mason asked her as she nodded, already sucking on the lollipop.
"He's coming here today and I need you-" He have her a pointed look while raising his eyebrows. "- to play nice. That means no judging, insulting, hurting, or kicking. Okay?"
Alyssa nodded as he spoke. He gave her a quick pat on the head softly before his phone went off. He raised a finger and answered it.
"Hello? Liam?"
Mason continued his conversation with his friend while Alyssa looked around. Alyssa looked eyes with Scott McCall from across the hallway.
She could feel anger seeping into her bones. She could see a faint red aura around him as he kept staring at her.
She took the lollipop out of her mouth and was about to walk away when someone snapped their fingers in front of her face.
She turned her head towards her friend, her anger began to dissipate.
"Come on Liam is waiting. Just meet him. I promise you guys will get along. Maybe, hopefully." Mason grabbed her arm and lead her through the crowd. She turned her head to see Scott watching her as she got dragged into the sea of students.
Alyssa sighed as she turned back around as hey stopped moving. Mason was smiling as he waved someone over.
"Liam! Over here." He waved frantically as another freshman walked over to them.
