Chapter 14~

KnockKnockKnockKnock. There was rapid knocking at the door,

"Hmm?" I mumble out into my pillow. Whoever was knocking so fast took this as a sign to enter my room,

"Jean! Wake up! Go get ready, go eat, go get with your squad, we're leaving soon!"

"So early??" I complain into my pillow, I could tell who was talking to me just by the high quantity of enthusiasm in her voice, Hanji.

"Yes, so early, now get up!" I sudden hear a 'Fwoomp', and feel my body heat leave me,

"Ah, Hanji, it's cold in the mornings!" Hanji had yanked off my blankets and threw them onto the ground. Suddenly, I hear another familiar voice coming from the same direction Hanji's voice was coming from,

"Oi, Hanji, don't throw the sheets on the ground. I just cleaned them."

I spin around onto my back in a panic, finding Captain Levi, and Hanji, all staring back at me. Shit, my shirt. I took my shirt off last night. Fuck, fuck. Levi gives me a long stare before he says anything,

"So, you going or what? It's already five thirty AM, get a move on." He left the room with that, Hanji waving at me and skipping after him. I heard Hanji's faint voice,

"W-Wait, don't open their door without knocking! I learned the hard way."

Then the Captain's not-so faint voice, as his was deep,

" 'Their'? Who's 'Their'? I gave everyone a seperate room for a fucking reason, and there's two people sharing one?"

I give a sigh and pick up my shirt off the ground, slipping it on. I wasn't very hungry, but I guess I'd steal some of Land's food. Getting up, I put on my jacket as well, taking my cloak and folding it, setting it inside my jacket. I begin to walk out the door, but I feel as if there's something missing that I need to take with me. I turn back around and scan the whole room but I can't see anything that I'd really take with me on this mission. Turning back around once more, I leave the room, shutting my door behind it. As I walk down the stairs, I hear more footsteps behind me. Probably just the rest of guys coming down to eat as well. Opening the door into the main hallway, there was more people in here than I thought there would be. It looked as if they were all waiting for others. Sasha was leaning against a wall, probably waiting for Connie. She didn't look as crazy when she wasn't near Connie, she looked polite and sweet here.. and normal. Most of the people waiting for other people were new recruits, probably because they didn't have anyone else to sit next to during eating periods. Walking into the Mess Hall, Land was already sitting with a couple of new recruits and Janny, plus Laura. I walk over to them and plop down next to Land,

"Scrambled eggs, mashed potatos and bacon for todays breakfast, hm?" I say, eyeing Land's breakfast plate. He squints at me grabs his plate, slowly scooching it away from me,

"Yes .." He says cautiously,

"What? Would I really steal your food, Land?" I ask him with a smirk. He gives me a deadpanned look, which I laughed to, reaching a hand over to his food,

"Yeah, I would." I say, taking one of his bacon pieces and scooping it into his mashed potatoes, popping it into my mouth then shoving a spoonful of scrambled eggs in as well. I looked at him the whole time I was chewing his food, him only glaring back at me,

"I was going to use that spoon for my food, you know?" He said, poking at the spoon I have used to eat the eggs,

"So?" I say, swallowing, "Then use it."

"Gross, you put it in your mouth!" Land exclaimed. Suddenly, another spoon made a loud clanking noise as it was dropped onto Land's plate. Both me and Land looked behind us to see Captain Levi with his hands behind his back, staring at us,
