CHAPTER 1 |

♫town called malice♫

"The last time I said yes to you, a lot of people died." Y/n turned over to Peter making eye contact. Right before them was multiple black-uniformed ninjas. The bad guys were trying to steal the mayor's diamond for his campaign. Turns out the diamond is much more valuable then they thought it was, so the ninjas had to ruin the fun party campaign the mayor was throwing.

"And yet here you are, saying yes again," Peter replied turning to face her. He patted her as he shrugged his shoulders and swung down off the stage to fight the ninjas.

"Little b-" Y/n caught the dagger in her sight and before it could stab her in the face. She used her electrokinesis to explode the dagger, Y/n nodded down at the ninja and smirked. She reversed the shredded pieces of the dagger back to the ninja, it stabbed him leaving him unconscious on the ground. She jumped off the stairs onto another ninja and brought him down. He shifted Y/n under him, but she electrocuted the ninja. She threw the body to the side and looked for Peter. He was up ahead fighting on most of the ninjas.

"Why does he always get all the fun!? It better not be because I'm a girl!" Y/n shouted as she ran towards the group of ninjas attacking Peter. Peter threw a ninja her way with his web. She kicked the ninja mid-air and threw him to the wall 15 feet beside her with her kinesis.

"Spidey, leave some work for me!" Y/n bossed. Peter laughed at the way she said "spidey" as if she was making fun of the spider boy. He stepped back and gave her the remaining 5 ninjas. Within seconds, they were all electrocuted.

Y/n turned her head to Peter and smiled, "Thanks, spiderman!" Peter went red, even though it didn't show, Y/n knew he was blushing. He always went red when she called him his superhero names.

"Let's get going home, I got an assignment due at 10 pm." Y/n mentioned. Peter let out a chuckle, "It's 10:15 pm."

"Shi-" Y/n was out of the window flying before she could finish her sentence. Peter stood there looking down at the bodies of ninjas, "Is anybody gonna pick this up or do I have to...?" No answer. "Well, let's just pretend I wasn't here." And Peter was off with that.

Y/n and Peter went to the same school and had the same friends, but before that Y/n spent her time alone. Peter always had an eye on her, she was quiet and invisible, but not to Peter. She spent most of her time in the library, either laughing at videos she was watching or making confused faces while she read in the corner of the library. He always found her funny, she was reserved, but he could tell she needed someone at times. He really thought she was beautiful for being herself.

He just wanted to get to know her. And she did too. Sometimes she would stare at Peter when he walked in the hallways with Ned, she found it amusing how dorkish he could be and how smart he was too. But she wasn't going to make an effort, she couldn't stand putting her priority on something else than saving the world or was it something else that she was scared of?
