Chapter 33

"No this cannot be happening, we have been together for like a century, we can't just separate. We are sisters. What happened to best friends forever!" Willow exclaimed while she paced back and forth.

"Willow, calm down, I'm just going for a year, obviously I will come back and visit you guys. It's not like I'm going forever." Danielle replied.

"Haven't you guys thought about this yet? I mean at one point of our lives we weren't going to live together, either when we got married or before." Izzy commented.

"Izzy is right. You girls were not going to be together forever. You can still be friends but living together was not something permanent" Kyle stated.

"You're just saying that because you don't want us living with you and Tammie if you guys got married!" Willow retorted while Izzy snorted at the comment.

"I agree with both of you guys. Willow, we are going to live separately at some point even though it would be awesome if we got a big house and if we had kids they will always be together maybe even besties!" Tammie commented excitedly.

"Ugh.... I don't think so!" Kyle retorted.

"That is a splendid idea, Tammie!" Willow agreed.

"Well, I don't think I will have kids or get married since I suck at love, so a small half decent bedroom with a table to draw is perfect for me," Danielle stated.

"Same!" Izzy agreed that her fate was the same as Danielle's.

"Why are you two so negative!" Tammie yelled.

"Why are you yelling?" Izzy asked.

"I'm just furious, confused, worried, scared......

"Alright....... I see this conversation is messing with your emotions" Izzy retorted.

"Do you have your period?" Danielle asked Tammie.

"No" Tammie replied.

"Uhm... I am still here, isn't that like supposed to stay in between girls" Kyle commented feeling uncomfortable.

"Dude chill, it's part of mother nature!" Willow retorted.

"Whatever," Kyle mumbled.

"I think we're going off topic" Izzy commented.

"Right....so who wants to share their opinion and stories from the past four weeks?" Danielle asked but everyone remained silent which left Danielle no choice but to speak first.

"I guess I will start. Well, Xeon dying was a shock, I was scared and I did not believe at the beginning that he was shocked which is why I did not run away. Heck, no one ran away that night. I mean it is unbelievable it took someone to die in order for a fight to stop. I'm sorry if I was distant with you guys but it was my way of grieving until one night Darius called me."

"So wait.... you only talked to him once since the incident?" Tammie asked.

"Yes, so he called and I answered. He only asked if we could meet somewhere in private. Of course, I knew it was bad news but I still had hoped that he probably going to ask me out or something. I was wrong, I went to the park and he was there waiting for me. He was not the Darius I knew, he did not smile nor a polite hello. He was mentally conflicted, Darius took out the letter and passed it to me. the letter was from Abbigail and once I read it, there was no future for us."

"But I don't understand what did the letter say?" Kyle asked. Danielle got up and went to retrieve her purse but she did not return with it instead she brought a letter. Kyle read the letter and was shocked.

"But...but.... Well thanks, Abbigail!" Kyle said furiously

"Hey! She might be dead but show some respect!" Tammie retorted.

"Fine" Kyle grumbled.

"Okay....so back to the story, After I finished reading the letter Darius said he needed some time alone and he doesn't think we should be together. I was confused and heartbroken. Up to this day, I'm still wondering what I did wrong." Danielle said with a big sigh.

"Nothing is wrong with you Danielle, I'm utterly in shock and confused has to why he would do something like that!" Kyle commented.

"So after that, I told him if I left right then I was never going to talk to him again...."

"WHAT DID HE SAY!" Tammie exclaimed.

"He said he was fine with that," Danielle replied staring at the floor.

"OH IM GOING TO HIT HIM SO HARD THAT EVEN THE DEVIL WILL CRY!" Willow yelled.

"No need for violence," Danielle replied.

"I agree with Willow; he was being a jerk to you." Kyle retorted.

"I know.... But I think we should just leave him alone. If he comes back, then I give you permission to do whatever" Danielle commented.

"I was not expecting that from you, Danielle!" Izzy stated.

"Okay, I need to finish my story now. I left the park and came home to cry, but a few hours later I received an email about a job opportunity. I did not accept right away but after one week I decided that maybe this is my chance to become the person I always wanted to be! With this project, I will meet new people and start my legacy. So please just understand my perspective."

"You did the right thing, Danielle. It will hurt all of us but we totally understand why you're doing it. Go chase your dreams sweetheart for the sky is the limit!" Kyle replied.

"Wow, that was very inspiring Kyle and thanks! Well, that's my story...so who's next?" Danielle asked and Willow raised her hand excitedly.

"My story is short. So I felt the same has Danielle when Xeon died, I tried to continue my routine from before the trip but I realized that I couldn't because so much happened and I learned a lot about myself. I was never going to be the same and I just could not forget. This trip created my best and worst memories, yes it was scary and the kidnapping was awful but we survived, we have a story to tell our kids."

"I never expected to find love but I did. Oscar and I have been talking every day for the past month and we decided to meet at the café this morning. Right before I came home I became his girlfriend!"

"OH MY GOSH!!" Danielle exclaimed and clapped happily.

"It was about time!" Izzy said with a grin.

"I am hurt that Danielle will leave but I am happy this trip happened. We became closer, we found our true selves, we encountered heartbreak but hey, that is part of life. My story is not long and may not have so many dramatic events but one thing for sure, I love you guys with all my heart and I will never stop sharing my love for you guys are my sisters and brother in law not yet but soon hopefully!" Willow gleamed with excitement.

"Not too soon!" Tammie retorted.

"Whatever....so what do you guys love me back?"

"Yes, willow we love you!" Danielle ran to hug Willow. Tammie, Izzy, and Kyle followed behind.

Willow realized that the people right here is her family and will always be no matter the distance. They have been through it all, creating good and bad memories. Nothing was going to break her family apart. Willow was so happy but then a disturbing question invaded her thoughts.

"Danielle.... when are you leaving?"

" One week from now."
