A/N yay, I don't need to dredge through a big introduction for this one. Everyone knows the basics about Spider-Man. At least everyone reading this should. This is also my first attempt at a third person story so if I drift back to first person let me know and I will do my best to fix it.

Peter loved free fall. It severed all the binding of the world; Stress, fear, even gravity. His only complaint was that it had to end. There was an upside though, the next part was just as good if not better. His arm snapped up and with the familiar thwip he was wasn't falling anymore. As the web strained against the G-forces he couldn't help but let out a cry of pure exhilaration, "Hellllllllo Neeeeew York!" With that he allowed the adhesive cable to slip from his grasp, and he was weightless again.

It was only as his momentum failed to take him any higher that Spider-Man realized he had miscalculated. He had meant to slip past the side. Now he was heading straight for the water tower. Had he been earlier into his career Peter would have panicked and left a Spider-Man sized dent in the tower (Jonah would have a field day with that "Spider-Man Vandalizes Water Tower) shaking his head and deciding that he would rather avoid that he shot another biocable, this one aimed below him. Using his sudden downward momentum Peter quickly released the cable and threw his arms above his head, his new trajectory allowed him to slip between the support braces. As he passed through the second set he clung to the brace above him briefly, intent on resuming his slinging pattern. Throwing himself into a 360 he thwiped a web behind his back to where he knew a building was before- CLANG -Peter felt the memorable but unwelcome feeling of slamming into metal. Even more surprising was the fact that the metal made exclaimed its surprise as well.

Spidey barely managed to avoid the embarrassing face plant and whirled around to face his potential foe, only to find a human shaped hot rod. A flying human shaped hot rod. "Oh, hey Tony" Peter grimaced as he stretched his back, "Ahh, how do does it hurt more to crash into you then it does to be thrown through a concrete wall." His eye lenses suddenly dilated completely, "Don't tell me you've managed to give ego mass, get out of here before you create a black hole!"
Tony's face plate slid up to reveal a rather chagrined looking Stark, and peter couldn't tell if it was real or not. "Very funny bug boy, Bruce and I need you back at the tower. We've found something... weird and want your take on it. That was a surprise, one of a startling few in the past ten minutes. What could be so strange that two of the most brilliant minds not only couldn't figure it out, but were asking for the opinion of a 17-year-old kid? Of course they didn't know his age, but they should be able to tell that he was young.

"I-I guess." Stutter-Man mentally slaps himself. That sounded pathetic. In a show of redeeming acrobatics he flipped backwards onto the side of the water tower before launching himself straight back at Iron Man. Instead of another collision Peter grabbed one of his perfectly polished shoulders to rotate, coiled his legs beneath him, then sprung off of the Tin Man with a smidge more force then necessary. The whole maneuver took about the same time that tony can down a shot."Meet you there!" he called a he plummeted back towards the pavement, a grin showing under his mask as he heard another crash of metal. Tony evidently hadn't expected to become an honorary springboard.

What came next chilled him to the bone. It wasn't said loudly and yet he could still hear it over the rushing wind. Clear as day. "You scratched it." Spidey swung for life. He was tackled before he could fire his second  web line. Iron Man had him pinned is such a way he could easily see the damage. Right in the middle of the face plate's forhead was a scrape about an inch in diameter where the paint was missing. Tony was silent too. It was no longer a game, it was about survival.

Prying Iron Mans arms off, Spider-Man kicked him in the chin, forcing him to fly up and give Peter the time he needed. Shooting two webs behind him he quickly connected them and used his momentum to use it as a glorified horizontal bar. As he released he attached another web line to it and flipped to face Iron Man, who had righted himself and was currently beelining for him. Twisting midair Peter barely managed to dodge Tony's wild charge.
