A/N Since no one seems to care I'm revealing Spider-Man's identity to one Avenger. If you don't like this let me know and I may leave it there or edit it out all together depending on how much support it gets.
A Week Later
Peter and Venom were quickly growing friendlier. Venom was becoming more open with the imminent threat of replacement gone, although he couldn't seem to convince it that he would never do so. Peter was also getting used to the fact that an alien was sharing his body, being more accepting when venom did something completely different then what he thought it could. The only downside was that Venom still had him avoiding the Avengers, they were starting to get suspicious. There was no longer a point in it hiding from them: His change in style was all of the media by now, but the Symbiote was still adamant about staying well clear of the tower.
Currently Spidey was thrill seeking. They enjoyed it for different all be it similar reasons. He loved the thrill and his adrenaline was like candy to Venom. Their current activity was diving off of Empire State. It was like base jumping, just with a whole lot more G's at the end. Yanking himself to the side with the Symbiote equivalent of a web he dodged a protruding gargoyle before taking note of his distance to the ground. Momentary planting his hands on the wall he flipped to get his feet back under him (a front walkover/handling if you know what those are), allowing him to begin sliding down the side to kill some speed.
When Spider-Man had no other choice he anchored himself to another building before gritting his teeth. Within seconds the cable tendril was taught and his momentum was threatening to dislocate his shoulders. Any of his web lines would have snapped. Heck. His arms would have snapped without Venom. How durable was it anyway? He'd yet to see it take direct damage.
As he pitched up he noticed that the streets he'd picked didn't go for very long. In a display of impressive gymnastics he shot up the building with a chain of somersaults without being subjected to the cruel rain of friction. Finally reaching the top he finished with a backflip to land on the barrier, breathing hard. That was fun.
Agreed.
"So what now?" He asked aloud. Most of his big stunts involved jumping off of stuff and nothing beats the tallest building in the city.
"I believe I can help with that!" The voice was accompanied by a buzz in the back of his mind. Of course he ducked the pair of mechanized talons belonging to Adrian Toomes A.K.A. the Vulture.
"No, bad bird! I do not need a big white stain on my black suit!" Really Peter, toilet humor? How far have you fallen?
"That's the least of your worries. Birds eat bugs, bugboy!
"Did, did you just quip? What? How? When? Where? Huh?" Spidey's mock panic attack was interrupted by a giant, metallic, razor sharp, feather rocketing at his face. It was easy to dodge, simply leaning back and twisting a shoulder back was enough. Glancing up he returned to his quips. "Those are bigger now yah know. That's less ammo for you. Toomes smirked at this. That was not good. His hunch was soon proven correct as he leapt into a corkscrew over the same feather that he thought was out of the picture. It was a squinty eyed spider that looked back at his assailant. "Ok that's new! More electromagnetic tech? Impressive." He was now glad that Venom knew that nothing he said in his quips was true, otherwise he'd have a lot of convincing it that it has value to do.
"Yes, and its going to skewer you!" He suddenly had a whole wing worth of feathers sailing towards him.
Spider-Man dove through the first few before handspringing past another. Then he was at an impasse: he was in the air so he couldn't jump again and had three feathers about to hit him. Good thing it wasn't just him in this fight. Venom!
