' Sister, come here for a second' her sister, R 2819 called. Cassia glanced over at her mockingly, challenging her. She was currently sat on the sofa, with her feet propped up on the glass table infront of her. she held her ipad close to her chest and smirked. 'try me'. R2819 glared at her, her overly large anime-like eyes narrowing with disdain. 'ill ask you one final time' she said in a sickeningly sweet tone, 'hand.over.the.ipad'. As she said this, she slowly edged her way forward, something that Cassia was completely oblivious to. without a warning, she snatched it out of Cassia's hands before she could even blink.
'FOR F***KS SAKE!' Cassia groaned. jeez, what luck, to have a robot for a sister. actually, screw that, to have 3 robots for a family. Yep, you heard her. Robots. Humanoids, to be precise. artificial intelligence in the form of metal. incapable of feeling emotions. 'Language, dear Sister' R2819 admonished in a patronising tone. Cassia wanted to punch her. Robots. Humanoids. Life was great.
Cassia herself was half humanoid and half human. the story behind her existence is complicated. One that, if revealed, could shatter reality as well as the somewhat hostile alliance between humans and humanoids. Her mom was human and her dad was a Humanoid. Names : Aria , B34G. To cut the disgusting and vile long story short, they fell in love, did some stuff that is considered illegal and ...Cassia was the result. Her mom is now a robot, after accepting what is known as the 'cure' in their society, which is meant to..well, cure a human of its humanity. Basically strip them of emotions and feelings and turn them into mindless soulless metal zombies.
As far as the Society knows, Cassia is a robot. In fact, that is what everyone thinks. Her 'mom', her 'dad'. This is because Cassia had been injected with the cure as a child. Somehow, it messed with her insides, making her half-half. humanoid body, human brain with a higher intelligence level.
Cassia stomped too her room, slamming the door in the process. she knew she shouldnt have done that, humanoids werent supposed to show emotion. 'Are you...mad, sister?' R2819 asked hesitantly, with a slight incredulous tone. Cassia sighed. 'No, I just defected. I apologize for the malfunction, sister'. Thats what they called it. Whenever Cassia lost her temper or cried or was too happy. A malfunction. Cassia clenched her hands into fists. she was seething. This was her life. Constant lying, hiding, filled with secrets. For the 1st time in her life, she wished she was a robot.
