The Labyrinth

I'm afraid I don't quite understand

The shadows clinging to your heart,

The sadness clouding your mind,

The darkness in your eyes.

So please could you tell me just

What do you

Mean

And how do you

Feel,

What do you

See

And how do you

Breathe?

I'm tired of talking through speakers

While you're only hanging on

By a thread,

Keep hanging on.

These days you're nothing but a

Memory;

A stripped down, battered up

Version of yourself,

Hollow like all the bottles

You drank.

Now your eyes stare blank

Right through me.

Who are you?

Sheltered by walls of constant silence,

Thrown away the key,

You can only stay for so long

Inside the labyrinth before the walls

Start to close in.

You are closing yourself in.

Please let me in.
