A Different Kind of Crisis

"You don't want to leave?" Tae was shocked, but the corner of his lips twitched into a smile even as he bombarded me with questions.

"What about your job?"

Portable.

"Won't you miss your friends?"

Singular 'friend'. Facetime.

"What if ARMY find out? What if they hate you?"

They can deal with my existence, and nobody messes with me.

"What about your cat? How will you get her here?"

Now it was my turn to be shook.

"You're fine if I bring my cat?"

Tae just smiled his rectangle grin. "Of course! I know how much she means to you, I'm sure she and Yeontan would get along fine."

I hugged him, ignoring his blush so I could also ignore my own.

His arms snaked around my waist and he hugged me back, laughing.

"What about you? Are you sure you're ready to move here? I don't want to rush you or anything..."

"How could you be rushing me when I'm the one that asked you if I could?" I still couldn't believe I'd gotten the courage to actually ask him.

He pulled back, suddenly serious. "I have one condition though."

I was confused by his sudden mood change, and a little (ok, a lot) nervous.

"Yes?"

He stared at me, studying me as my apprehension grew.

I was starting to fidget when he suddenly laughed.

"It's not funny!" I blushed, pushing against his chest to get him to let go, but he pulled me in tighter for a moment before dropping to one knee and holding one of my hands as though proposing.

"Y/N..."

Well alrighty then.

"I know we haven't really known each other long, and I really didn't want to rush you, even if we are soulmates.

"I haven't even found a ring yet, but as soon as I do, I want to ask you to marry me. If you come to live here, I want you to know that I might ask you at anytime, or anyplace. Please say you're alright with it, but don't say yes to the proposal until I actually make it. I want to hear it then."

I stood there, completely stunned.

"Y/N?" Tae was looking a little worried.

I could have slapped myself for making him wait.

"O-of course I'm fine with it Tae!"

His face lit up, and I wondered...

"Let's go check with the guys!" Tae said as he bounced to his feet, not letting go of my hand as he darted towards the door.
