"Ella June May, would you please get your skinny ass back to this really comfy couch so we could start the movie"

Okay its official, I hate the fact that I ever told her my middle name and besides, what was wrong with my parents, do I look like a calendar to them? Ughhh. The one you heard shouting from down stairs is my dear best friend Lily Maria walker, supposedly here to watch a movie on the last day of summer before we all go back to our miserable lives at school. And like my dear friend said I'm Ella, a seventeen year old who has nothing better to do on a summer night than sit with her best friend in which said best friend was actually supposed to go to a party but took pity on her loner friend and stayed home with her. I smiled into the mirror for a while longer and closed my closet door and made my way down stairs and into the kitchen to get some popcorn, lily turned from where she was sitting on the couch "hey did you call jack? He was supposed to be here with the pizza" she asks. I put a hand full of popcorn in my mouth and walk over to the couch and sat beside lily "idonftknowhesfaidhefascoming" I tried to answer. She takes the bowl of popcorn from my hand "I'm sorry, what was that? I don't speak stuffed" I swallowed and turned to her to answer but the door bell rung interrupting me. I got up from the couch and went to the door. Standing at my door was jack steward. The tall -with jet black hair, green eyes and six pack- hottie. You know you're typical high school jock? Well ya that's jack and like every other cliché line I had a huge crush on him, the best part was he was my best friend since dippers and he was all mine. He shoved the pizza box he was holding into my hands and walked in raffling my hair "hey shorty, missed you this summer" I looked up-cause he was that tall-and scowled at him "you literally saw me a day ago" he gives me his dashing smile "aw, but I still missed you" he raffles my hair and walks over to the living room I stood and watched him walk away and sighed, if only he was really mine. I grab some plates and walk over to lily and jack. Jack was sitting on the floor and lily was cuddled up on the couch, he was looking up at her and they were talking and I had to admit they looked cute together. I mean its lily.... She had the whole Latina vibe-from her mom's side- she was gorgeous, tanned skin, long legs, long curly hair and big blue eyes and ever since lily came to town back in middle school they have been inseparable, include little odd me with the long always untamable red hair, dull brown eyes, skinny thing in all this, and yes, I get jealous, yes, lily assured me a million times and yes, it breaks my heart a little when I see them like this but this was our life and I had to trust lily on this. I move over to the couch and sat down far away from lily, she scooted over to me and hugged me she looked at jack and told him to start the movie, while he was by the TV she looked at me and asked "okay what's wrong? Did he do anything?" I looked at her and I knew she was genuine about it, I smiled and said "just having an episode" that was code for "just got jealous again" she scowled at me "how many times do I have to tell you? Me and jack..." I interrupt her "I know I just get jealous a little that's all" jack comes over and sits on the floor "okay movie time" he smiles at me. Lily gives me a look, she whispers "if only you knew" I give her a confused look but she directs her attention to the movie. I take time to notice how we were now, three small town kids just sitting around each other and enjoying each other's company, in that moment I wish I knew this was the last time we were going to be like this, the last time the three of as were just enjoying the moment, just living.
